Automate disaster recovery restores

If you're a small- to medium-sized shop that can't afford (or won't consider) a third-party save/restore application that automates the disaster recovery restore process, then you should consider implementing a LODRUN program.

The first thing to do before doing a system save is have your CL program issue a command 'PRTSYSINF' and copy the spool file(*LAST) to a data file. You will then have a backup that will include all of your critical system parameters and values.
