New firms vie for iSeries HA market
[iSeriesNetwork]
As the iSeries high-availability (HA) market heats up, a number of smaller companies are getting into the game and targeting the small to mid-sized companies with smaller, cheaper HA software. The Missing Link

Company redefines whiz-bang technology
[The Register]
Intel didn't think of it. Neither did IBM or Microsoft. No, it took a company called Wizmark to hit the spot when it comes to the new No. 1 priority in technology. The company has created a high-tech urinal cake that can play commercial messages -- complete with sound, flashing lights and images. And unlike a Pentium chip or an Xbox, this piece of technology can withstand 10,000 flushes and leave the surrounding area smelling nice and disinfected. The cake uses sensors to determine when a prospective listener sidles up to answer nature's call. Obviously, a medium for men and alternative to the ripped-out sports page plastered on the wall, the cakes will advertise Country Music Television's new Outlaws TV special. Pity the person who must change out the cakes when Spike TV buys some porcelain time.
