The Missing Link

Rock 'n' roll holy water leaves building -- for eBay
[Reuters]
eBay is turning into so much more than a mere auction site. It's becoming a computer-age freak show that would make P.T. Barnum wonder if suckers were born every 30 seconds. eBay -- which gave us a Senate candidate's sweat-covered napkin, a partially eaten grilled cheese with (supposedly) a likeness of the Virgin Mary lightly toasted into the bread, and (briefly) a throat lozenge spat out by Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger -- now has sold about three tablespoons of water from a cup thirsty Elvis drank from during a concert months before his death in 1977. The seller snagged the cup after the show and kept the water frozen all these years. The winning bid? $455 -- "thangya ver' much."
