RE: [AI] Hello BPCL App not accessible

2023-11-27 Thread 'Mohammed Asif Asif Iqbal (IN)' via AccessIndia
Ashutosh and others,
Thanks for expressing your frustration and concern about accessibility issues
being not resolved.
In my personal experience, let’s accept the fact that empathy is still far
fetch goal in our India and sensitivity for integration of digital inclusion is
absolutely low or virtually none. Yes, have been successful in very few cases
but these efforts take a long time before change of inclusion is part of their
app platform.
I personally think that it is our collective responsibility to flag
inaccessibility issues to concerned team or app developer authority with hopes
that they comply with our request. I think that mission accessibility or CPWD
effort is just drop in the ocean and step in the right direction as problem of
inaccessibility is very deep.
Thanks and kind regards
Asif

Re: [AI] Hello BPCL App not accessible

2023-11-27 Thread ganesh reddy
I wanted to address the accessibility issue you've been facing with
gas cylinder bookings and offer a suggestion that might prove helpful.
While this may not be a comprehensive solution, you can consider
exploring various mobile apps that now provide the convenience of
booking gas cylinders independently. Several widely used platforms,
such as AmazonPay, Paytm, Simple, PhonePe, and others, have
incorporated gas cylinder booking options within their interfaces.
To simplify the process, I recommend checking under the "Recharges and
Bill Payment" category within these apps. This section typically
includes utility services, among which gas cylinder bookings may be
listed.
I hope this suggestion proves beneficial to you.

[AI] Please test this app

2023-11-27 Thread prashant.rv
Dear friends,

Newslaundry seems to the first one in the media who is taking accessibility
seriously. I am impressed with the progress they have made.

It will be good if some of you can try it out and submit issues. See the
message below.

Newslaundry

The idea now is to test for bugs and improvements over the next few days and
then roll out the product for everyone.

It will be of great help if you can take out some time, and use the app like
you with whatever user settings and accessibility modes you use apps with.

Few links:

* If you're on Android, here's the Android SDK that can you download
directly:

* For iOS, here's the test flight link for the beta app (test flight
is a developer tool by Apple that facilitates beta testing of iOS apps):
