And I have verified again, this is already included in upstream 6.1.53
upstream and so in Debian bookworm's kernel since 6.1.55-1.

after upgrading the kernel from linux-image-6.6.13-amd64 to 
linux-image-6.6.15-amd64 the nvidia-driver 525.147.05-6 fails to load, 
significantly affecting the system's performance and stability.
Below is the listed output of nvidia-smi, nvidia-detect, apt policy 
nvidia-driver, and a fragment of the journal.

Indeed!

The reason why I filed this bug against linux-image-6.1.0-18-amd64 is
that it was installing it that triggered the problem.
