Debian has mingw cross-compilers for Windows as well as a few packages that contain cross-compiled Windows executables. In particular Debian's win32-loader package (built using the nsis Windows installer creator) contains an executable that runs on Windows and adds Debian installer images to the Windows boot menu. https://packages.debian.org/search?keywords=mingw https://packages.debian.org/search?keywords=win32 http://ftp.debian.org/debian/tools/win32-loader/unstable/ -- bye, pabs https://wiki.debian.org/PaulWise

looking-glass packaging questions
Hello everyone I do have some changes I want to make to the package to make it more comfortable to use. Before the first use the looking-glass host (this package) requires some changes to the libvirt-qemu abstract apparmor profile. Explicility changing "/{dev,run}/shm r," to read-write The problem is I have to either change this file or libvirts apparmor template both of which are not owned by my own package. In the later case only future VMs would have the correct option. Or I could just print a dialog saying change it yourself. What would be the preferred way here? Another possible step that could be taken is to create the shm device automatically on install i.e. with a oneshot systemd service. That would be easy and remove an additional step without much interference with the rest of the system. Does anyone know of a package which has to do something similar? The last change is something maybe for the future. The software depends on a client component for windows which currently needs to be downloaded from the authors website. I imagine one could supply a self cross-compiled windows executable on an iso that could be easily mounted into the vm and installed from there. Has anyone done something similar to this? So far I know only of virtio drivers but they are not supplied by debian anywhere as far as i can see. - Lennart January 4, 2019 5:09 PM, "Lennart Weller" wrote: > It's already open again. It caters mostly to two use cases: - a beginner just wanting to play a game against a computer with adjustable strength - a beginner/club player wanting to analyze/annotate a chess game Jerry has a modern and simple user interface written in Qt/C++, and thus integrates nicely into modern Linux desktops. It allow to import/export chess games stored in PGN files, supports arbitrary UCI chess engines, and supports fully automatic chess game analysis. The availability of chess GUIs in Linux is rather limited. There are powerful packages around, sometimes with more features than Jerry, but their GUIs as well as their GUI frameworks are often somewhat dated, and do not always meet the expectation of a modern GUI. Hence, I do think this would add some benefit for debian users. A source tarball, a source debian package, as well as a binary for amd64 are available from https://github.com/asdfjkl/jerry/releases/tag/v31 More information about Jerry can also be obtained from https://github.com/asdfjkl/jerry Or just drop me a mail. kind regards - Dominik Klein --- End Message --- --- Begin Message --- On Sat, Jan 05, 2019 at 09:47:08PM +, Dominik Klein wrote: > Dear Adam, dear all, > > the following changes have been done: > > Maintainer: Dominik Klein > > with different capitalization of the email address. > changed to uppercase in control file. > > The icon still doesn't work for me (xfce). > This is finally fixed now. > > The copyright file would be a lot more readable if you placed > > I missed that one.
