Softmodem for Sis intel 537 56k winmodem (info)
Hello everybody, this is information for thus who want to use such kind of modem on there computer. I have an ASUS L3500D running unstable and installed the last Pctel drivers. Computer freeze with or without kernel panic. But installing the deb package of sl-modem-daemon did the trick. It seems that smartlink drivers are the best for all kinds of winmodems. You can download a scanmodem script on linmodems.org who can help to debug. Hope this help. -- daniel -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Nah - I've been running both the Debian maintained and the Mozilla.org versions since the mid-Milestone days, against the same .mozilla, and have seen no hiccups, although I don't use it for email, but by 1.3, it should be generally okay there. As to plugins, that is something that does need to be re-installed. Copy your /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins files to /opt/mozilla/plugins (except for the javaplugin.so - that needs to be a symbolic link instead) and start up /opt/mozilla/mozilla, and all should be fine. I don't use Mozilla for email, just browsing. This is my strategy too. I can run /usr/bin/mozilla(1.0) or /usr/local/bin/mozilla(1.3) just fine. _but_ I cannot get the java plugin to work. I'm running Sun's Java package and Mozilla 1.3 talkback from Mozilla.org. When I compile a trivial applet (straight from Bruce Eckel's Thinking In Java) that works fine with Appletviewer, Mozilla gives me an error saying that the plugin for "application/x-java-applet;version=1.4.1" needs to be installed, Mozilla's about:plugins window lists it and shows it as being Enabled. (And yes, Edit>Advanced>Enable Java is checked.) You have to use a java compiled with gcc 3.2. Sun's one is not ok. Blackdown has one. MyVirtualHostName is defined in DNS. Same configuration and application with WebAppDeploy on a RH73 works great. I also tried to replace webapps module with mod_jk. In this case apache is starting but I'm not able to connect to MyApplication. I allways get an 404 error from tomcat4. If I try to connect through 8180 port, it works. In this case, a JkMount /MyApplication ajp13 JkMount /MyApplication/* ajp13 give me an in my mod_jk logs. But if I put a subdirectory I get a in this log but then the 404 error. JkMount /SubDirOfMyApplication ajp13 JkMount /SubDirOfMyApplication/* ajp13 Any hint would be appreciate. -- : __ __ __ __ __ __ [EMAIL PROTECTED] : /_// __ // __ //_// __ // / phone.: +48 32 285 4554 : / / / /_/ // /_/ / / / / /_/ // / fax: +48 32 285 4554 : /_/ /_//_/ /_/ /_/ /_//_/ mobile..: +48 602 284 546 -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Tomcat4-webapps
Le log Tomcat me dit ...WarpConfigurationHandler] Invalid packet with type 0 Exception on socket: broken pipe at ... le dernier etant java.lang. -- : __ __ __ __ __ __ [EMAIL PROTECTED] : /_// __ // __ //_// __ // / phone.: +48 32 285 4554 : / / / /_/ // /_/ / / / / /_/ // / fax: +48 32 285 4554 : /_/ /_//_/ /_/ /_/ /_//_/ mobile..: +48 602 284 546 -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". dbootstrap
Hi, I'm just on installing my notebook with Debian through FTP (rescue disk+boot disk+4 driver's disk) At the point to install kernel base, doesn't matter which http or ftp server I want to use, I allways get a "malformed release file" error. It's dbootstrap 3.0.19 built on 06/02/2002 version used for a non-US woody installation. If you have tips, welcome -- : __ __ __ __ __ __ [EMAIL PROTECTED] : /_// __ // __ //_// __ // / phone.: +48 32 768 /121 : / / / /_/ // /_/ / / / / /_/ // / fax: +48 32 768 3334 : /_/ /_//_/ /_/ /_/ /_//_/ mobile..: +48 602 284 546
