[Bug 1767574] [NEW] number of cores in Resource tab
Public bug reported: Not a bug but an enhancement ... I have 6 cores (AMD FX 6300) and the resource tab shows 4 cores as the first row and 2 cores in the second. It would look nicer to line them up as 3 on 1st row and 3 on 2nd row. Also, note the vertical spacing between cpu1 and cpu5; too tight. Here's a screenshot: https://imgur.com/a/JUFNWlc Thanks. [Bug 1767544] [NEW] While running the Orca screen reader, system hangs while gnome-control-center is open
Public bug reported: When gnome-control-center loads, my computer becomes inaccessible. To get Orca working again, I have to force close the app with Alt+f4. There are parts of the control center that I can use, such as the sound and VPN settings, only if I invoke them from the dash. If I invoke Wi-Fi from the dash or top bar, it is inaccessible. Steps to reproduce: 1. Launch Orca by pressing Alt+Super+s. 2. Press the super key, and type "settings" into the search box. 3. After the settings screen loads, try to move around using Tab and Shift+Tab. Also try to move using Orca's flat review feature. The commands for using flat review can be found at: https://help.gnome.org/users/orca/stable/commands_flat_review.html.en On a desktop, the Orca modifier is the insert key. [Bug 1767264] Re: Window manager refresh rate is different from monitor refresh rate
Not sure how relevant, but I tried setting CLUTTER_VBLANK=none to see if forcing the use of my video card's driver would have any effect, but it causes the entire desktop to freeze and need to be force closed. ** Description changed: Ubuntu Budgie 18.04 + budgie-desktop 10.4 The refresh rate of the window manager in Ubuntu Budgie appears to be locked at 60hz regardless of the actual monitor refresh rate (144hz in my case). xrandr reports the proper refresh rate glxgears runs synced to the correct refresh rate but moving windows and animations in the desktop do not. Unfortunately I have only been able to test this using an nVidia GPU, but the problem happens with both nouveau and proprietary drivers. Public bug reported: Ubuntu Software, when showing metadata about a snap package, is most of the time, likely to get information which is misleading, since it shows info from the *most recently* uploaded snap, regardless of which channel the snap was uploaded to. [Bug 1767388] [NEW] Sometimes cannot login to graphical environment.
Public bug reported: On 18.04 gdm3 3.28.0-0ubuntu1 4.15.0-20-generic I suspect it is related to gdm3, but not sure. On freshly installed final release of bionic, I somtimes cannot login to gnome desktop. It is always preceeded by failed login attempt even though password is correct. I can switch to a virtual console, but nothing happens when trying to switch back to graphical CTRL+ALT+F7 - stays in console. It seems that sudo /etc/init.d/gdm3 restart might fix the problem, but I havn't tested extensively yet. Note also that when the problem occurs there is no XDG_SESSION choices available on the login screen. The "settings" icon next to the login button is gone. After this an attempt to login with correct password will fail, and the second attempt to login with take me to the blank screen + cursor situation described above. I can't say how to reproduce. On my machine it happens 50% of the times. [Bug 1766872] Re: 'Enable Network' in recovery mode not working in Bionic
So all the remaining jobs are basically waiting for friendly-recovery to exit to start due to the "oneshot" instruction, which make xnox patch (revno 152) not working. Some waiting jobs are units in which the desired network services in revno 152 depends on. I totally understand why "oneshot" is set, but in this case it is the blocker. If we remove "oneshot" then everything will start and make the recovery mode useless. So I think "oneshot" need to stay there. The only thing then I can think of atm is to add --job-mode=ignore- dependencies --no-ask-password and possibly extra stuff in frienly- recovery.service to make the necessary network services to start in recovery mode when requesting 'Enable Network'. ** Changed in: systemd (Ubuntu) Status: New => Won't Fix -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to systemd in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1766872 Title: 'Enable Network' in recovery mode not working in Bionic To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/friendly-recovery/+bug/1766872/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
