Hi,

so far no issues under Ubuntu 19.04 64 bit.
Installed orcale-java and openjre 11.04 are recognized.

Hi all,

I think it is time to do our (first) Release Candidate for AOO 4.1.7.

Unofficial test builds for Windows are already here [1] and those for
macOS and Linux here [2].

Please test, so we can decide to build an RC.

Hi all,

At the moment I am doing my test builds (trunk and 42X) for Windows with

I am still able to download, but Oracle changed its licensing. I am not
a lawyer and would prefer to move away from it.

Why move away?

Re: Java 12 not recognized by AOO

2019-05-09 Thread Josef Latt
Hi,

locations in Ubuntu 19.04, where java 11 is marked as supported:

/usr/lib/jvm/java-8-openjdk-amd64/jre
/usr/lib/jvm/java-11-openjdk-amd64

In java 11 there is no folder .../jre.
For me, it seems that the path to java is hard coded.

Intentional?

IMHO it's misleading if someone wants to test a developer build (Beta,
RC) and find an outdated version at a prominent place.

What's about bugs in the Beta (unnecessary issues), which are corrected
in later versions (RC).

It would be better (IMO) to place the URL to those developer versions
with an appropiate comment.

Hi,

AOO 4.0.0 wants to upgrade the Report Builder to version 1.2.1-rev2.
After installing from the AOO extension site version is still 1.2.1.

Therefore I downloaded it from your site
(http://people.apache.org/~arielch/extensions/reportbuilder/)
meaning that this should be the 1.2.1-rev2.
But the extension manager still offers the upgrade.

In the file 'description.xml' you find

If I change this to

1.2.1-rev2 is not a valid version number... anyway, it seems to be this
http://extensions.openoffice.org/en/projectrelease/oracle-report-builder-121-rev2
but the version value inside the extension is still 1.2.1

This looks like a bug caused with extension's site update, feel free to
report it on dev@openoffice.apache.org
