Kathy, My dumb brain managed eventually to figure out the password but still cant seem to get a sound file uploaded despite following the instructions you kindly gave. What filename do you use the first or the second in the upload box thingy? i.e my first was Kric.mp3 but in the second it was just kric. does this make any sense? Michael --- [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: It's quite simple to add to the wiki. If you see a question mark after a WikiWord, you can click on it and put whatever you want in the edit box you then get. Or you can turn any word into a link by surrounding it with curly brackets, like so {{free link}}. To attach image or sound files, click on Attach at the bottom of the page where you want it to go and follow the instructions for uploading. Then Edit the page. Typing in Attach:filename.ext will either give you an inline image or a link to a sound file which apparently needs to be on its own page. Many secret door greetings, Kathy ___ALL-NEW Yahoo! Re: FLUXLIST:Stepford Wives recipes (Found this a.m. in rain soaked dumpster)
This morning went to look in huge city dumpster filled with heaps of unpurchased items from a recent yeard sale-- raining a bit and all manner of clothing, objects, books, machines, boxes, furniture--wet, soggy, dmap, chill to the touch-- among many other assorted treasures (including 2 dozen boittles of nail polish, myriads of grsih hallucaintory colors, to use for some paintings--and inhale that miraculous scent!)--found the New Revised 1970 edition of one of those old binder style Cook books--this one from the Campbell Soup people-- many stepford recipes--i wonder if the new version will have the horror value of the first?--the truly frightening ones are the men--who desire their wives/women to be robot slaves--total control over unquestioning providers of consumption: food, sex, keeping the house clean, laundry done and maybe even reproducing further little machine boys and girls--keep them occupied and their minds cluttered with lists--shopping, recipes, etc-- RUBY CONSOMME: 2 cans (10 and a half ounces each) condensed consomme 2 soup cans tomato juice Blend consomme and tomato juice; heat. Garnish with chopped parsley. 4 to 6 servings. (you can always chill and add vodka to your liking) way too many amazing recipes in here--so just to list the names of a few of them, or of the various subsections: Dress Up a Pie You Buy--Open a Can of Bounty Pudding--Serve a Can of Gravy--Zippy Clam Dip--Easy Shrimp Dip--Pennywise Skillet--Mix and Match Soups--Modern Cottage Pie--Pajama Party Breakfast--"Soupenanny" Party--Nean'N'Bologna Buns--Suddenly Supper-- Here is "Theater Supper": Minted Melon Balls . . . Saucy Chicken Livers on Toast . . . Lettuce and Spinach Salad . . . Frozen Peach Strudel and Cream . . . Coffee sadly, only a few illustrations--those colored photos seemingly made on another, far more color coded planetremember when bamboo forks knives and spoons were the happening thing? not to mention the mighty day when it was learned that the electric can opener had been not only invented but was now available everywhere? well, there IS a connection between fluxus and football. after all, a team is called elf in german. that would be eleven. they use this term because ELEVEN players of each team are ment to be on the field! bravely, the swiss have smashed tradition for the second time in only four days, boldly playing with ten players only! now is that cool? lkajsfslkdjsd. yes, and congratulations to our friends from that insignificant island (also those living in italy). do i have to mention that seven million swiss expect england to win this crappy tournament now? georg --
Re: FLUXLIST: wolverine and badger
It should be just kric.mp3. .mp3 is the extension or, in the vernacular, the .ext Put the word that you want to be the link in double curly brakcets and save. Then there will be a ? next to it in the saved viewed page. Click ont he question mark and you can do your Attach:kric.mp3 in that linked page. If this was an image, you could just put Attach:whatever.jpg where you wanted it to appear ont he page, but I haven't figured out how to do a similar inline sound file. Also, make sure to upload it in the same pkace where you want it to appear. i.e. the Fluxlist.DogBitesBog and Fluxlist.ManBitesDog files have a diferent upload spot from the Main.WikiSandbox files. ---yes, or we could call it Fluxball or maybe Footus? where each players has a ball on elastic and has to dribble the ball into their own goal whilst eating a bar of Swiss chocolate. Re: FLUXLIST: wolverine and badger
I do apologize, the file upload limit was most likely too low for any sound files. I've upped it considerably to 2048000 bytes, but it's still a limit as it's simple web hosting. The page ought to have returned an error message, I don't know why it didn't, but hopefully it's a moot point now. These are the file types possible: SDV($UploadExts, array( 'gif','jpg','jpeg','png','bmp','ico','wbmp', # images 'mp3','au','wav', # audio 'mpg','mpeg','wmf','mov','qt','avi', # video 'zip','gz','tgz','tar','rpm','hqx','sit', # archives 'doc','ppt','xls','exe','mdb',# MSOffice 'pdf','psd','ps','ai','eps', # Adobe 'htm','html','css','fla','swf', # web stuff 'txt','rtf','exe','tex','dvi','')); # misc I cannot remember a time when I did not take it as understood that everybody has at least two, if not twenty-two, sides to him.--Robertson Davies
