[h-cost] Laudonia de Medici/Laudomia
Thank you so much, Kind Ladies for the links. I do not have Moda Frieze (sp) too broke right now for it, but it is on my wish list. I do have "2000 Years of Fashion" but in my copy, tis black and white. Beautiful gown and I am not having much luck at resisting the temptation of making it up in a jewel tone. Thanks again for the links. Lyonet ___ h-costume mailing list h-costume@mail.indra.com http://mail.indra.com/mailman/listinfo/h-costume
[h-cost] Laudonia de Medici
I am looking for a color scan of the painting of Laudonia de Medici by Bronzino, circa 1560-65. I am seeing it in a rich deep jewel toned velvet (in my mind) but it looks black in my book. Wouldnt this dress be lovely made up? Thanks in advance for any assistance on my behalf. [h-cost] Re: Updates to my Site
I know a lady that is looking for the painting of a german frau who is wearing triangular shaped pieced bits that make up the different bands on her sleeves? I am not well versed in German Ren, but I am guessing 1525-50. Her dress is dark, IIRC with these distictive red and yellow parts (kinda pennet shaped) sewn together to make the bands on the sleeves and perhaps some on the plasteron. (but I can not trust my memory). Do you have that piccie? Is there one of her whole dress? This Honorable Lady would like to recreate the dress and wonders if the piece work on banded on the skirt too. Thanks for your time and effort and your site ROCKS! [h-cost] Gift Exchange
Many many thanks to Pierre and Sandy Pettinger, for the wonderous package I was gifted with. I made myself wait till Christmas eve to open it. Each and every item is lovely and I had to remind my little 7 y/o daughter that she could not make off with fabric all of it was wrapped in. I can not say thank you enough. I am overwhelmed to recieve such perfect gifts. To Katheryne (of Woodbridge? NJ), I mailed your gift late (hanging my head in shame). You should get it in the next day or so. I have been sick and working some long hours at my church doing costuming for "The Gospel According to Scrooge". But still, I should of gotten it out to you in a more timely manner. Please accept my sincere apologies and please let me know if you do not recieve it soon. Or feel free to contact me off list.
