https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=391440 --- Comment #2 from IWBR--- Sorry to comment on a closed bug, but I am using the last 5.9.0 version and I still have this issue. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=391895 Henrik Fehlauerchanged: What|Removed |Added CC||rk...@lab12.net Status|UNCONFIRMED |CONFIRMED Ever confirmed|0 |1 --- Comment #1 from Henrik Fehlauer --- Thanks for you idea! I think you have a point in the sense that the permanent overlays can interfere with the image. > Autohide in fullscreen is already implemented in Gwenview for the small > placement window that shows the image portion shown when the user has zoomed > in a very large image. Methinks the behaviour ought to be consistently > implemented for all controls when in fullscreen. That's not quite true for non-fullscreen: The "bird's eye view" also hides after a timeout. Also, the issue with the buttons would continue to exist in non-fullscreen, wouldn't it? How about making this a hover button like in Browse mode? This would solve it consistently both for fullscreen and non-fullscreen, and you would only ever see a single button at a time on the screen. The "hide-everything-on-mouse-timeout" behaviour feels a bit weird to me. It's fine for single elements, but not so great for the whole UI. Short testing shows that at the bottom of the screen in fullscreen there is a narrow zone where clicking does not activate any of the images, so perhaps this way you could even hide all hover controls (in case they are implemented) at the same time. I'd consider the hover button idea worth a try at least, but not sure when we'll get around to it. > Gwenview is easily the best casual image viewer available for Linux system. When looking at two or more images in fullscreen mode, the controls (trashcan icon and "Deselect" text )should autohide and become visible only upon the user moving the mouse or doing something other similar action. Not only would it be more aesthetically pleasing (minimalism), but it can affect also actual work related to comparing images visually against each other. When comparing two images on a small screen (for example on a laptop screen), the controls can get on the way of seeing the relevant parts of the images compared to each other. Autohide in fullscreen is already implemented in Gwenview for the small placement window that shows the image portion shown when the user has zoomed in a very large image. Methinks the behaviour ought to be consistently implemented for all controls when in fullscreen. Attachment image depicts this phenomena. The bug affects versions from at least 15.12.3 onwards up to the versions automatically installed in todays (March 2018) KDE distributions like Manjaro KDE, as can be seen by testing live-dvds etc. Ps. big thanks to all Gwenview/KDE coders, your work is much appreciated. Swap position and size in crop tool Summary: When one wants to re-use crop settings in gwenview (i.e. position and size), they have to be entered in the following order : 1/ Size 2/ Position (it is not possible to do it the other way, as position is locked until the size of the crop area is smaller than the size of the image). However, the settings are displayed in the reverse order, which is not convenient (un-necessary mouse actions). [konsole] [Bug 378124] Character width for HIGH VOLTAGE SIGN possibly wrong
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=378124 m...@arccos-1.net changed: What|Removed |Added CC||m...@arccos-1.net --- Comment #3 from m...@arccos-1.net --- (In reply to Kurt Hindenburg from comment #2) > I'm open to suggestions to avoid all these width issues. First thing Konsole needs is to change internal character representation from UTF16 to UTF32. This will allow to properly handle code points above 0x (right now, they are all assumed to be wide and non-combining). QChar::is*() and wcwidth(), even the one implemented in Konsole, already support UTF32 characters. Nice thing is that Character class won't change size - it uses 13 bytes aligned to 16, so after change it will be 15 bytes aligned to 16. I think glibc's wcwidth() would be nice as a source of character widths: - Unicode 10 since 2.26 (released on february 2017, available in e.g. Kubuntu 17.10). - Most terminal applications probably use it, so widths would match. - Less code to maintain. Possible disadvantages: - Qt's QChar::is*() can use another Unicode version, potentially slightly incompatible with glibc's one. Solution: use iswctype() instead. - Unicode 8 (or older) on systems with older glibc. - Lack of customization, like selecting Unicode version (e.g. when connecting to remote systems with older glibc), or changing width of ambiguous characters, but there is no such feature right now. I've already modified Konsole to use UTF32 and glibc's wcwidth(), I just have to clean it up a bit before creating review request. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[kwin] [Bug 391623] Night Colour does not get updated when external monitor is connected
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=391623 --- Comment #1 from Roman Gilg--- Thank you for the bug report and your encouraging feedback. :) Indeed I overlooked this problem. I have a very simple patch, that solves this issue (I just connected to the output added signal to resync current color temperature value on all outputs - in my code this is the "hardReset" call). [dolphin] [Bug 391290] Dolphin double mounts the partition and writes a warning
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=391290 --- Comment #3 from lega99--- In Neon linux LTS and Neon user edition I have udisks2 2.1.7-1ubuntu1. The problem is a bit more complex and I decided to switch off partition mounting in the system setup. In the fstab file I only mount the ntfs partition via the uuid number. With these settings Dolphin works ok mounting the linux partition even though I turned it off in system setup. It is interesting that the Nemo file manager has no problems, I tried in Neon Linux. In Calculate the linux variants of Gentoo I have no udisks2, there is a same bug and it has the same problem. Manjaro has the same problem and everything started with the new plasma 5.12.x. The only version that works ok is in the system setup to turned off mount partitions and mount in fstab ntfs partition. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
