[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 46447] Embedded pictures/images disappear from Presentation (ODP) [Summary: comment#58, comment#67. Temporary advise: comment#69. Confirmed without autosave: comment#109]

I installed a new version of Libreoffice from the official PPA, and am now working with LibreOffice 4.3.4.1. Since, I have prepared (and given!) a new ODP presentation. I did not encounter any problems with disappearing images. It wasn't a very long presentation but it did include quite some images, a few TexMaths formulae and even a video. This is very encouraging. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 87337] EDITING: CALC crashes all opened spreadsheets
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=87337 --- Comment #2 from Mateo --- RDS..Remote Desktop Services.. also known as "Terminal Server". Clients connect to it via a thin client which uses a built in RDP client. They connect to the terminal server with a Windows login and get a windows desktop using MS Outlook 2003 with LibreOffice. Prior to Libre, they were using Apache OpenOffice. They open spreadsheet "A.xls" and edit it and save it as "B.xls". This saving process makes A.xls become B.xls with the assumption that A.xls is now closed because it is no longer open. So they are now working on B.xls when all of a sudden it crashes. The users are now manually saving the document so when this does happen, they will have the data up until they manually saved it. During the recovery process, the A.xls shows up in the recovery list to recover. They select it (inadvertantly because they don't know any different) and it fails. They go to the location of B.xls and open it and continue to work on it, manually saving in case this happens again. Outlook opens attachments in a temporary location (users profile)so my guess is that it has a lock file somewhere for it even though it should be closed?? In Libre, it seems that when one Calc file crashes all crash so it is possible that A.xls opens in the recovery list and B.xls doesn't since they manually saved it? Not sure.I hope this helps. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 87336] New: FILEOPEN: PPTX and DOCX import charts missing titles and wrong rotation of axis labels
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=87336 Bug ID: 87336 Summary: FILEOPEN: PPTX and DOCX import charts missing titles and wrong rotation of axis labels Product: LibreOffice Version: 4.4.0.0.beta1 Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: Windows (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Chart Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: validationf...@gmail.com Created attachment 110873 --> https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=110873&action=edit PPTX I have attached a pptx and ppt saved with Powerpoint. PPT displays correctly, the PPTX has the following issues in 4.4.0.0.beta2: - Charts are missing titles. - Wrong rotation of vertical axis labels. - Wrong orientation of X-axis labels and not wrapping text (causing every other label to disappear). Orientation behavior for the X-axis seems to be length dependent. The missing legend label on the lower left chart is not really an issue. A 3rd data column was used as a spacer and this extra label confused the legend. Removing the text from the 3rd column before importing will make the legend display properly. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 82320] Form properties should include static width, depth.
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=82320 Doug changed: What|Removed |Added Status|NEEDINFO|UNCONFIRMED Ever confirmed|1 |0 --- Comment #7 from Doug --- As noted this is RFE although I do have intermittent bug-like problems that center on this functionality. 1. Lionel's solution appears not to create permanent setting specific to particular form. That is, if there are several forms, several users, and maybe several forms open at once, "Print"/"Web" setting value may toggle or migrate from one form to another without user input. That is, a form that is set for "print" view will go go to "web" view without any clear user direction. The form then will display incorrectly, sometimes in non-obvious ways and require user intervention. Problem is intermittent, specific sequence to trigger is unknown. 2. Base sometimes gets confused along the lines of the separate "Print" width setting, and reorganizes the display of objects on a form along the boundaries in that setting even when displaying in "Web" view, or maybe vice-versa. The settings seem dynamic in some way. The result is that if there is a group of controls on a form, the columns beyond the right-side boundary may be compressed left and crowded/stacked. Likewise, the rows below may be compressed/stacked above. Form in that condition is unusable, appears broken. Self-resolves after closing or reopening either the form or Base entirely, sometimes a few times. I believe the spontaneous reorganization of the controls on the form is along the "Print" boundary when in "Web" mode, but it also could be along boundaries of another form open at same time. Problem is intermittent, one out of say, a hundred times opening form, specific steps to re-recreate are unknown. FWIW, other consumer database solution has setting as I describe; different structure of Base is unintuitive. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

As it is difficult to explain, the easiest is to first look at the screenshot attached : When I do a right click on the sheet partially hidden on the right (here "Feuille3"), if there is another sheet at right (called here "Feuille4"), then the right click will be applied to "Feuille4" instead of "Feuille3". To be more general, if you right click on a sheet which is partially hidden, the right click will be effective on the next sheet. It happens both when the partly hidden sheet is on the right or on the left. I would expect that the right click would be effective on the sheet I clicked on.
