[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 99462] CRASH after deleting photo album caption box

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 99462] New: CRASH after deleting photo album caption box

2016-04-22 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=99462

Bug ID: 99462
Summary: CRASH after deleting photo album caption box
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.1.2.2 release
  Hardware: x86 (IA32)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Impress
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: davidjudysm...@gmail.com

1. Create a new presentation.
2. Select the first slide, then select Blank Slide in Layouts. (This step is
probably not required.)
3. Choose Insert - Media - Photo Album. In the Create Photo Album box, make
sure "Add caption to each slide" is checked. Click Add. Browse and select one
or more images. Click Insert Slides.
4. Select the new slide containing your chosen image. There is a caption panel
at the bottom of the slide, labeled "Click to add Title." Move the mouse into
that panel, but NOT over the words "Click to add Title," so that the pointer is
a four-headed arrow, then click. The panel will be outlined, with small square
handles on the sides and corners. Press the Delete key. The panel is no
longer outlined, but it is not deleted.
5. Click in the caption panel again. LibreOffice crashes with no message.
(6. When you restart LibreOffice, it offers to recover the document, showing
that it crashed unexpectedly.)

Variations:
After clicking on the caption panel, you can change its area and boundary line
color, or its size and position, just like any other box. And, of course, if
you click on the words, you can enter a caption. But if you try to delete the
caption box, LibreOffice crashes the next time you click in it. The caption
panel is clearly a different animal.

If the photo album is inserted WITHOUT the "Add caption" option, there is no
problem.

This bug is probably related to 99450, which describes a crash when the
presentation is closed.

spreadsheet where this is observed ("Backgrounds" sheet)

When inserting a row above a conditional formatting range, the formula for the
conditional formatting is not updated and still refers to the old range.

Possibly a re-occurrence of Bug 62206 from 2013?

In the attached spreadsheet, go the "Backgrounds" sheet and insert a row before
row 1524 then view cells B1525:B1558. In the workflow for this sheet, adding
new rows before this block is a near daily occurrence.

* open navigator sidebar
* click in the sheet
* navigator shows Image 1 to 21
* double click an entry
* switch to properties sidebar
* unfold position and size
* width is 0, the rest looks normal
* increase width to make image visible again

why width is 0?
does lo import the value wrong
or is width in the document really 0 and should we sanitize the value

preferred to suplying a code pointer.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 99459] New: Resized cells with wrapped text are not redrawing.

2016-04-22 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=99459

Bug ID: 99459
Summary: Resized cells with wrapped text are not redrawing.
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.1.2.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: paulsmit...@hotmail.com

Created attachment 124578
  --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=124578=edit
Cell height does not adjust to fit text.

1) Paste a large amount of text (e.g. 100 words) into a cell.

2) Select all cells.

3) Tick: Format->Cells->Alignment->Properties->Wrap Text Automatically

4) Significantly change the width of the column containing the cell with text a
few times.

It seems to adjust the height of the cell to fit the text the first time, but
not after subsequent resizing of the column. Does not resize if text is too
small or to big for the cell.

Note: on an older version of Calc (4.2.something I think) it was at least
resizing after clicking another cell which triggered a redraw.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 87392] FILESAVE: I/O error on file save

2016-04-22 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=87392

Created attachment 124577
  --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=124577=edit
Fixed file

After other tests, I noticed that in fact there was a pb in the file.
ö ("o" with umlaut) was badly encoded.

Indeed, I renamed the ods file to zip so we can view its content.
1) I tested with Gnome tool to view the content of file, the file name wasn't
ok
2) I used unzip on command line then run 'ls', again the file name was wrong.

So I renamed the file on console with "ö" + changed the content of
META-INF/manifest.xml which was wrong too.
Then I recompress the whole and it seems ok.

I used master sources updated yesterday and found
1) The macro was present with its original name
2) "Save as" the fixed file had no popup message.

I let you test, perhaps I overlooked something.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 99458] New: Interactive crop handles are covered by header drop-down button

2016-04-22 Thread bugzilla-daemon

Bug ID: 99458
Summary: Interactive crop handles are covered by header

   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.0.6.1 rc
  Hardware: All
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED

Created attachment 124575

image before (left) and after (right) clicking the top crop handle

1. Open a new text document.
2. Insert an image into the document.
3. Place the image to the top right corner of text page (Format - Image -
Properties, Position Right/Top to Page text area).
4. Enable header for the page (Format - Page - Header - Header on).
5. Right click the image and choose Crop Image. Red handles appear at the
corners and edges of the image. (See the left part of the attached image.)
6. Click the handle at the top edge.
7. The header drop-down button pops up and the image cannot be cropped. (See
the right part of the attached image.)

Sometimes the handle can be pulled even if the header button is shown.
Another workaround: move the image, crop it and move it back.

Present since 5.0 where the interactive crop was introduced, tested in 5.0.6
and 5.1.1 at Ubuntu 15.10.

In 5.1.1.3 on the Mac, trying to drag rows and drop them overwrites other rows,
instead of displacing them.

If you can use the keyboard and mouse at the same time, there are workarounds,
but these aren't universally accessible, and they have their own bugs, such as
#58440.

Preparing patch. With the overhauled SdrOutlinerCache the SdrOutliner get
better buffered, too. The cache has the same lifetime as the document, so
should work well. Interestingly access to all active SdrOutliner's is taken in
svgexport (SVGFilter::implExport) which is a hack and leads to make that info
globally available at SdrModel, including to remember the 'active' (non-cached)
outliners, argh.

Added flush to SdXMLCustomShapeContext::EndElement() and execution to
SvxCustomShape::setPropertyValue, removed the page oriented stuff. Still more
than one SdrOutliner gets created. Overhauled SdrOutlinerCache to handle more
than one cached of each type, one is used for this bugdoc, 303 for the bugdoc
from the older task (see comment 2).
Also checked if 64bit win version could load the bugdoc, it can not. This shows
that it is a ressource problem (probably VirtualDevices) and the patch is also
needed for the 64bit version. It even crashes on the 2nd try to load...

The problem is that in the file are stored bad values(results) and when
recalculation is turned off (for ods files is default off), then LO just show
these bad values. When you set recalculation for .ods , then you should get
good results. We need reproducible case where we can see bad results after save
file.

> I did not find in documentation the way to manually perfom a recalculation

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 98163] FILEOPEN Draw crashes when opening file created in LO3.6

2016-04-22 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=98163

--- Comment #4 from Armin Le Grand (CIB) ---
Debugged throgh that stuff again, but found no goood solution. CustomShapes
(and the doc has thousands of them) need much more ressources then the builtin
shapes need (factor 100?), but these are no longer available to the normal
user, so they create docs like this one. In principle, VustomShapes are the
better shapes, but when hiding the old ones they would first have to be
optimized/reworked to get some speed and need less ressources.
For now, I would suggest to do the flush of SdrOutliners/VirtualDevices durling
load not when the page is loaded, but after each single CustomShape is loaded.
Experimentally added this change, and can load the file.
The same problem may surface again at runtime when someone edits 5000
CustomShapes, aka activate, text and other changes. That may again create these
SdrOutliners/VirtualDevices and let them live probably.

Thinking about possibilities...

The OpenCL profile method writes binary data into the xml file, which can make
the file unreadable.

Additionally, OpenGL writes a log file with the detailed device information.
The same should be true for OpenCL.

The faulty PDF has more pages and the font info differs

ile produces the same result as originally. The icon is set to "Through Wrap"
to begin with. When saved and re-opened it is opened in Page Wrap. Changing
it back to "Through Wrap" and saving again and re-opening has no effect it
still opens in "Page Wrap". Note that on re-opening, the context menu wrap
settings are not ticked, but the wrapping corresponds to "Page Wrap".

Tested with V5.2.0.0 alpha x86 in Win7x64 German localisation:

Still two different workspaces via sidebar and "navigate to" from the
Search Toolbar.
You are able to click different objects in one of them, the focus is set to the
clicked object, but in the other navigator workspace the active object isn't
refreshed and correctly highlighted.

Screen keyboard does not correctly accept input of € (menue item opens) and @

combinations and emoticons. Only some of them I have tested.

Screen keyboard works much better with Calc.

Emoticons I find not so important, but I think € und @ are essential.

Now, I re-tried with 5.1.2.2 d3bf12ecb743fc0d20e0be0c58ca359301eb705f - and the

Remains an issue.

> (b) [...] (c) [...] crashes with "X IO Error"

seems to depend on the X server:
* "X IO Error" occurs using mobaXterm (which uses its Xorg X server) on Windows
to ssh into the Linux machine
* The conversion works [no crash, text in the converted result] (cf. also
comment 3) with a VNC server on CentOS 5 and ssh to another Linux machine,
where one runs libreoffice.

As expected in the description ;-)

For information: In German UI/local QUERZ Win7 the shortcut Crtl+Shift+: works
fine for Timestamp like Excel, shortcut Crtl+. does not work, nothing happens.

Thanks for the work on this issue

The bug is still present:

Versión: 5.1.2.2
Id. de compilación: 1:5.1.2~rc2-0ubuntu1~trusty0
Hilos de CPU: 4; Versión de SO: Linux 3.13; Renderizado de IU: predeterminado;
Configuración regional: es-ES (es_ES.UTF-8)

Alfresco Version: Alfresco Community 5.0.d

This bug behaves equal to how it did in older versions.

But now it seems like there is an even worse bug, I can open remote files from
the recent files list but can't open them from the REmote Archive dialog. I can
browse the repository and reach to the file but when I hit "Abrir" ("Open" in
the english version) it does nothing. I'm quite confused about this because I
would swear that this did work yesterday... I'll check more thoroughly and open
a new bug if it persists.

Crashes on win32 when 4921 SdrOutliner and VirtualDevice are created, in

Took a look. The document is made of too many CustomShapes which allocate too
many SdrOutliners which create too many VirtualDevices. This is probably double
to bug 93994. The solution there was to flush UNO API implementations of
SdrObjCustomShape at end of page load (SdXMLDrawPageContext::EndElement()).
This does not work here since it's a single page.
What will/should work is a win 64bit version of LO. I will take a 2nd look why
all these SdrOutliners are created - there must be a better way, it's blocking
ressources massively. CustomShapes are and will be used in huge amounts in the
future, it cannot be that one per CustomShape gets created, plus one
VirtualDevice.

I agree that installing templates in the LO profile would be good (allow

Thanks for helping.
It looks like it works, but I had to copy/paste the formulas in the cells. I
think automatic recalculation would have been done after closing/reloading the
file...
While in a spreadsheet, clicking Options-> LibreOfficecalc -> Formule, there is
a field for "file loading recalculation" option (always/no/On demand), to be
specified for Excel files or ODF files not saved by OpenOffice. Default was "no
recalculation"... may be it applies also for a file saved by an earlier version
of OpenOffice!.it was my case Any way that does not explain why
recalculation was not performed for the first 512 rows and correctly done for
the rest of the file
I did not find in documentation the way to manually perfom a recalculation
