https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=109354 --- Comment #3 from QA Administrators --- Dear Roman Kuznetsov, To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today, LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed bugs which have not been touched for over a year. There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present. If you have time, please do the following: Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/ If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. Please DO NOT Update the version field Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker) Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular meaning that is not appropriate in this case) If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a REGRESSION. To do so: 1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/ 2. Test your bug 3. Leave a comment with your results. 4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo'; 4b. Style = add an row with the paragraph and character style icons. Reason is to focus user to use styles. There is also an Menubar item for this styles so they should be also available in the sidebar. Character = Move +/- font size icons to first line will have more consistancy with the style layout. Font name + Font size = Paragraph style width Clone and Clear direct formating will be a separate group in 3rd row. Paragraph = add 4 items from the list toolbar to have them commands available in the sidebar too. There is no reason why background color should use another layout than font and highlight color. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 91811] Editing char attributes in text boxes should handle Undo better
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=91811 mwtjunkm...@gmail.com changed: What|Removed |Added CC||mwtjunkm...@gmail.com Status|NEW |RESOLVED Resolution|--- |WORKSFORME --- Comment #2 from mwtjunkm...@gmail.com --- Behavior has changed slightly since origination of this bug. Using: Version: 7.1.0.0.alpha0+ (x64) Build ID: 8700bace8c0714d853f5df6918ab9c8bb3d81f77 CPU threads: 8; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 20197; UI render: Skia/Vulkan; VCL: win Locale: en-US (en_US); UI: en-US Calc: CL If you follow the original steps: = If you create a text box with "A" Then you edit it, type "B C" Select B, make background light purple Select C, make background dark watermelon (the colors have no importance) Click outside the text box Type Ctrl-Z I would expect a step by step Undo Currently, text box becomes "A" with no bg color. = Undo does track the change to each character within the text box during any single session of editing the text box's contents before clicking outside of it. However, if the user completes all the above edits and THEN clicks outside of the text box and hits Control-Z (or Edit, Undo), the text box disappears entirely (because Undo: Insert was the last edit tracked) or reverts to whatever was last typed in the text box prior to the last set of edits. Therefore, there IS a step-by-step undo, but it's at the current object's level. While within the text box object, edits track changes within the object as one would expect (reversing the colorization one Undo at a time of A, B, and C). Clicking outside of the text box tracks changes at the level above that, meaning the entire container (Insert: Text Box) versus its contents. So this works for me, based on my understanding of how Undo works. Step-by-step undo DOES WORK if you click outside of the text box per editing instance (change "A", click outside, change "B", click outside, etc). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

I have done some testing and indeed it seems to be the upgrade of the old profile, in particular related to the configuration of the notebook bar. I have been able to create a pretty small PoC. This includes some high level settings to enable the notebook bar and a configuration for, I think, a single bar with the left margin and right margin settings. These two together cause a crash, removing either of them does not. There were more places in my original configuration that caused crashes but since editing large amounts of XML isn't super fast I've brought it down to one case. If this one is actually solved I have a backup of the entire configuration to see if there are more crashes. The PoC is just the user part of the profile and has been tested as-is (i.e. without any other files in the user/ folder). I have verified that it causes the exact same crash as in the crash report. I have also verified it on my desktop, where the PoC also causes a crash. Moving ahead I will reset my profile on my tablet so I can work, but I will keep backups for future testing. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
