Subject: Stolen Meteorite, NYSP SP Horseheads Case.

Mr. Casper,

This is the in best information and discription, I can provide regarding
the stolen meteorite.

Meteorite taken from private residence on Jay Rumsey Rd., T/Van Etten,
between last week of July 2007, and first week of August 2007.

Possible suspect, may be a son who lives in Long Island.

Meteorite was in back yard of residence, and was used as a bird bath.

Meteorite was approximately 20inches long, by 10 inches wide, by 12 inches
high. Had curved indentation (use as bird bath), which was about 0.5 to
1inch deep on one side, and sloped to about 1- 1.5 inches deep. Meteorite
had an oval shape, and was reddish brown in color. Compl. states that
Cornell University verified it was a meteorite back in the early 1970's.

Thanks for your help,
TPR A Y Heppner

I beleive that LA 002 with the exception of a small slice at UCLA is in the
control of Robert Verish. To the best of my knowledge no one can have any
because there exists a certain "option" barring its sale/distribution until
that particular "option" of sale is satisfied. Please correct me if I am
wrong. Any comment Mr. Verish?

It seems that a few people on the list dislike other list
members.
Would it be too much to ask that such disagreements be conducted in
private Emails, that is off-list?
The current feud, while over meteorites, has little to do with the rest
of the list members.  Quite frankly, it makes others uneasy.
In the past I have had a disagreement with one other list member.

I wrote to him off-list, and he replied off-list.
It was settled quickly and politely.
No soiled underwear to be viewed by the entire list.
End of story.

Mr. Farmer,

"You just said that Steve stole all that money and paid them
 nothing"

I never said anything of the kind. Perhaps you
should learn how to read?

"That is an accusation that you could well be sued for"

I would welcome that lawsuit! They would have to provide FULL
DISCLOSURE!

Dear Rhett,

The name is Michael NOT Mikey. Yes I did lose out of representing
the "King Collection". If I would have sold the collection his daughters
would have been paid.
It is a fact that I offered OVER $200,00.00 cash to the family. That is
$200,000.00 more than they received!
Steve Arnold, a questionable attorney and a corrupt male nurse saw to that!
the King Family has NOT been paid by Steve Arnold AND ASSOCIATES (Geoff
Notkin?).

Rhett... your jealousy and cowardice are overwhelming.

Lisa,

I think that Geoff Notkin should have lots
of the records because
he ran the auctions and Monica Grady should know
something because she traded

Hi Jim!

I have heard that the new fall is going for
.40 per gram. Several Moroccan dealers are retailing it for that.

When Mike asked the eye witness to the fall about the Dean's claim of
rain he laughed and said "I can't remember the last time it rained".  So
much for being "plugged in" to what is actually going on in Morocco.

Mike did not say that he would be selling it next week for 2 or 3 dollars
per gram.  He said that he would be getting it next week for those who
requested it.  Go back and re-read the emails.  For those who
requested it when the offer was made they will be very happy.

[meteorite-list] Casper says, THIS MAY BE WAY COOL!!

2002-02-11 Thread Michael Casper

A cool way
to avoid sending a virus to others from your address book.As you may
know, if/when a worm virus gets into your computer it heads straight for
your address book and sends itself to everyone in there, thus infecting
all your friends and associates. This trick won't keep the virus from
getting into your computer, but it will stop it from using your address book
to spread further, and it will alert you to the fact that the worm has
gotten into your system. Here's what you do:First, open your
address book and click on "new contact" just as you would do if you were
adding a new friend to your list of email addresses.  In the window
where you would type your friend's first name, type in !000 (that's an
exclamation mark followed by three zeros). In the window below where
it prompts you to enterthe new email address, type in WormAlert. Then
complete everything by clicking OK, enter, add, etc.  Now,
here's what you've done and why it works: the "name" !000 will be placed at
the top of your address book as entry #1. This will be where the worm
will start in an effort to send itself to all your friends. But when it
tries to send itself to !000, it will be undeliverable because of the phony
email address you entered (WormAlert). If the first attempt fails (which
it will because of the phony address), the worm goes no further and your
friends will not be infected. Here's the second great advantage of
this method: if an email cannot be delivered, you will be notified of
this in your In Box almost immediately. Hence, if you ever get an email
telling you that an email addressed to WormAlert could not be delivered,
you know right away that you have the worm virusin your system. You can
then take steps to get rid of it!Pretty slick huh?If everybody
you know does this then you needn't ever worry about opening mail from
friends. Pass this on to all your
friends.

I know that God exists because HE has talked to me
when I have listened.  I have also had communication with the ones that
call themselves "The Ancient Ones".   No I am not a basket case.at
least not yet.   Clue in Life: Seek and you Shall Find,  Ask and
it Shall be Given.  Find What? Given What?  Seeking and Asking can be
dangerous! I would go to the list with this message but there are those that
are afraid of a God.  Many people only seek GOD because they are
afraid.of death.   For me there is not deathI am
immortalmaybe not the I am nowbut nevertheless immortal.   By
the same token I don't understand LIFE as we call it.  For me there isn't a

reply, I don't mind whatsoever. I challenge you to. Let's continue this

Hello everyone, just a quick Tucson show report.
The show is in full swing and very busy.
Lots of nice stuff here but meteorites are
scarcer than ever before! There are more dealers but not so many meteorites to
choose from. Allende and Gibeon are virtually non-existant for a change.
Surprisingly there is also not so many NWA's here either. Marvin Kilgore has
many nice rare meteorites, Pitt also has alot of beautiful things. Blaine Reed
has his usual nice assortment of all kinds of stuff.
We are having a blast, snow is gone, warm days
  and cool nights are back.
I am now also sold out of the hardback
autographed Rocks from Space books, so Casper can now get some action on
  ebay.
I also have many items ending tonight, most
  started at one penny!
  Check them out.

I guess there are some list members that don't like me. Sorry fellas.
Who are these guys anyway? What the heck did they ever do for the
meteorite community? At the risk of tooting my own whistle, I have sold,
traded and distributed over $6,000,000.00 in meteorites which encompasses
over 400 individual falls and finds EXCLUDING NWA/Sahara. Not to mention
several hundred thousand in advertising that just might of had a possitive
effect
on meteorites/meteoritics and not to mention the distribution of more copies
of
the book "Rocks from Space" than any one person and not to mention the
making
available to the research community whatever specimens I had first (Every
major university and
researsh facility worldwide and donations to the same for over $100,000.00.
So the two individuals that want to exclude, delete and ban me from
whatever...
I invite you to crawl back under or in wherever you came from.

I just want to say this, before
my father died he told me that if someone says something about you that
isn't true, you had better call them on it and stand up for yourself. I firmly
believe that. I have been accused of some bad things by Mr. Bessy yesterday,
he did it publicly, so my response should thus be public. For those of you who
are not in this, I understand your lack of enthusiasm for the emails, but when
your name is put into question, Ill bet my last dollar that most of you would
jump right in there and do as I have done.
I asked for proof of these accusations from both
Casper and Bessy and none has been provided.
When someone wants to accuse me of anything, and
you do it publicly, I assure you that I will respond accordingly.

  Thanks
  Mike Farmer

cause you didn't come up with the MONEY!
And stop calling me Mikey! It's Mr. Casper for you. Now if youe a good
little fella and
apologise to Mr. Casper, maybe, just maybe I'll let you in on a real good
deal...Don't ever say
that I didn't give you a chance Now let's have it. First call me Mr.
Casper, and then apologise. It
all better sound very convincing or the deal's off.

However when you must attack me because I am succesful and you are not makes

TOP of the market. Within a month of my final sale the meteorite market
FELL. Dop you really think that I don't know what's going on??? ALL the

Beleive it or not.
I just got off the phone with a
reliable source.(in NWA) Lunar and Mars material is now wholesaling for$100.00
USD per gram! That is the initial asking price!
Over 1 kg of LUNAR material is
available andover 3 kg of Mars I'd guess I could buy it all for under
$50.00 per gram!   xox,

2002-01-28 Thread Michael Casper

Oh... you are refering to my Meteorite Collection. 90% of that was
sold in July of 2000 for $2.3 Million! The continued Ebay auctions for the
remainder is for continued publicity (perhaps a new collector with "deep
pockets" will
enter the market) AND for the tax write off. We made a substancial donation
this year
to a major University... again for the write off. You do understand "write
off"??? If not
a "write off" is an expense that is directly aplyable as a deduction to
profits.
