[ns] IEEE WAVE and 802.11p Standard's Ability
Hi, Can anyone tell me is IEEE WAVE and 802.11p standards offer V2V and I2V communications with either single-hop or multi-hop forwarding ability? Any particular reference will be very much helpful in this regard. Thanks in advance. Regards, Mustafa Kamal
[ns] class visibility issue
Hi all! How can I come up with the issue of class visibility e.g. if I want to access the wireless-phy class protected parameters in in my routing agent class then by simply including the wireless-phy.h and calling the class reference didn't work (which is logically true from the C perspective) any idea to work for in NS?

Re: [ns] Nakagami propagation model
Hi, This paper may help you: A comparative analysis of DSRC and 802.11 over Vehicular Ad hoc Networks from Arijit Khan, Shatrugna Sadhu, and Muralikrishna Yeleswarapu They give some Nakagami parameters for NS2. Moreover they proposed another paper Overhaul of IEEE 802.11 Modeling and Simulation in NS-2 (802.11Ext) which give details on Nakagami parameters: gamma0, gamma1, gamma2, d0_gamma_, d1_gamma_, m0, m1, m2, d0_m, d1_m, use_nakagami_dist_ You should test with different values of d0, d1 and analyze the impact. Please, don't forget to give us your NS2 Nakagami parameters once done. It could be very useful for everybody who wants to use Nakagami propagation model. Jonathan Petit. Sergio Luis O. B. Re: [ns] IEEE WAVE and 802.11p Standard's Ability
Hi, Is your question: Is WAVE standards (1609.x) talking about forwarding model for V2V (or I2V)? If yes, then I didn't found into WAVE standards any details on the forwarding model. We just know that WSM are broadcasted (one-hop broadcast?). There is a lot of works on multi-hop and single-hop forwarding. So, I guess that WAVE standards have one-hop and multi-hop forwarding ability. Hope it helps.
