InfoPath 2013 - Creating a Submit connection to a SP List

2013-06-12 Thread Salonen, Marko J
Hi

I am working with InfoPath 2013, and attempting to join a number of list forms
into a single InfoPath form.

Opening up InfoPath you can select a SharePoint List form template that creates
a Submit/Retrieve data connection.
[cid:image001.png@01CE6837.6001E530]

But when I try to create one manually for the second list, I can only read from
a list, or write to a doc library.

Why can't I create a connection to write to a list without using the SharePoint
List template in InfoPath?

If I can't do that, is there a way to join two InfoPath forms (I.E. create an
InfoPath form for each list and then join them)?

Cheers

Marko

Off topic: Nintex Workflow questions

2014-05-20 Thread Salonen, Marko J
Hi

I am looking for answers to some Nintex questions I have, and know ozMOSS is
mostly for SharePoint content.

I am aware of Nintex Connect, but I am wondering if there is any local Aussie
or even Brisbane based user group / mailing list happening?

Cheers!

/Marko

No clue to be honest. Do you have a support agreement with them? Their support
response is brilliant and pretty fast 99% of the time. I think I've only had 2
issues they haven't been able to resolve in around 5 years of using the
product. If you've got a support agreement, simply drop them a mail at
supp...@nintex.commailto:supp...@nintex.com

Connect To Outlook doesn’t allow you to drag and drop emails. We have setup a
mapped network drive that points to the relevant SharePoint Doc library.

Cheers,

Marko

You mean beyond the Connect To Outlook button on the List/Library ribbon?

Have you looked at Site Mailbox feature? It’s a half-assed replacement for
Exchange public folders. I believe it will let you do what you want but it’s
also a pain to set up.

Paul

Hi Guys,

Is there OOTB way to make the SharePoint folders available directly to Outlook,
which would allow someone to drag and drop email into any folder location they
choose.

Thanks
Ajay

Is using the WebDAV share an available option?
e.g.

$file = '\\server\site\library\filename.htm'

Get-Content $file |% { $_ -replace 'String1','String2' } | Set-Content $file

If you're changing multiple files you could even map the site as a drive
temporarily:

New-PsDrive -Name SiteDocs -Root http://server/site/library -PsProvider
FileSystem

cd SiteDocs:\

ls *.htm

Tony

Hi all

I am trying to get html file from SharePoint, do some changes to a string, and
then move it back into SharePoint. Everything works ok until I upload the file
back to SharePoint.

This is what I have so far. The error I get is some random numbers to the
console and nothing in the library.

$fromfile = 'Server/site/library/filename.htm'
$tofile = 'c:\temp\ filename .htm'
$temp = 'c:\temp\ filename2.htm'
$weblient = New-Object System.Net.WebClient
$weblient.UseDefaultCredentials = $true
$weblient.DownloadFile($fromfile, $tofile)
Get-Content $tofile | ForEach-Object{$_ -replace String1, String2} |
Set-Content $temp
$weblient.UploadFile($fromfile, $temp)

Eventually I would delete $tofile, and rename $temp and upload that.

Cheers
