[Pkg-xfce-devel] Debian package of gsynaptics-mcs-plugin

2007-03-06 Thread TSUCHIYA Masatoshi
Hi,

I am a user of XFce4 Debian packages. Thank you for your great
efforts to maintain them.

I have just packaged gsynaptics-mcs-plugin announced in
http://foo-projects.org/pipermail/xfce4-dev/2007-January/021995.html
You can download its Debian package at
http://namazu.org/~tsuchiya/debian/gsynaptics-mcs-plugin/.

I believe that it is useful to XFce4 users who use Note PCs belonging
touchpads, and I'd like to contribute that package to you.

How do you think of this idea?

Regards,

I'm a little unclear about what it does that say a launcher on the panel
for gsynaptics wouldn't do? I'd love upstream to incorporate a real
synaptics mcs plugin that didn't just execute an external program.

I'm not entirely convinced that uploading this to Debian would be a good
idea for that reason but we'll certainly point people at your package if
we're asked about it.

Simon.

I can reproduce here on 2.6. I've forwarded upstream, and will try to
have a look at the sources when I have time.

Thanks for your report,

How happy I could find a such native plugin, but, actually what I
could find was only gsynaptics-mcs-plugin.

I see.
