Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Squeezelite-X
Wow! Thanks. I just stumbled onto this - it's terrific. In the same vein, thanks also to the others who generously give their time to develop Squeezelite, LMS etc., allowing us others to carry on using and enjoying such a ridiculously good music system. artee's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=32816 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=108550 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Squeezelite-X
And one more: I noticed lately that I got errors in my server.log if I wiped the cache and restarted the server. (That's my version of "Clear library and rescan everything". Long story.) I didn't know what was causing this, until now. The logs (before I wiped them) hinted to some music files, but always different ones: It's SLX's playlist. And SLX was running. (Not playing music, just running in the background as it always does. I love it!) So I stopped the server, wiped everything as I always do, which was a bad idea in this case, hence the wiped logs, stopped SLX and restarted the server. No errors there. First I thought that maybe it's because the player is "on" (not playing but "on"), but then I remembered that my Receiver was always "on", too, because I didn't know that it could be switched off. I did some research and now have the PowerSave plugin enabled. In short: If I wipe the cache and force a rescan while SLX is running, I get some errors (which I will post eventually). That said, how it actually works is that it reads from a cache of ip-to-mac mappings that Android keeps. If your device is new to your network, this cache may not be fully populated, so Squeeze Ctrl couldn't find the MAC address of your server. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] ANNOUNCE: Group Players
Just popping in to say this plugin has completely revolutionised how we use Squeezebox in our house. I've used it since early on, but looking back in hindsight it's had a much bigger impact than I expected. It's allowed me to easily set up Arduino arduino buttons which control music on/off in groups of rooms, set up google home to run the main house group, etc. The simplicity of calling a single player via the command line and get a group has made my development significantly easier. So I thought I'd just pop in and say thanks! s2kiwi's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=63950 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=108558 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

So, do you leave it switched on all the time - or power on when required? Looking at the user-manual, the 'power' button toggles on/standby - and its this that I'd like to automate. Does it 'dissapear' from LMS when off (i.e. on standby)? This page https://www.openhab.org/addons/bindings/fsinternetradio/ seems to imply there is a HTTP API that could be used to power on/off. Thinking about purchasing a Roberts S1 or S2, as they're currently only £50 in Amazon. Has anyone tried these with this bridge? Do they work? Can the bridge bring them out of standby? i.e. so that I can leave the speaker on, have it go into standaby (do they automatically?), then have them spring to life when playing via the bridge - all without using the UNDOK app. I currently have a Libratone Zipp, which works great with the AirPlay bridge, and I'm looking for something similar, but cheaper :-) I love the fact than I can leave the Zipp plugged in, it places itslef into standby, and the AirPlay bridge wakes it up to play. Would be interested to know if this bridge behaves similarly with this speaker. cpd73's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=66686 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=103728 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
