do alt t then down arrow to add ons and enter now shift tab until you get the list of things you can look at look for apperence and then tab you will get the version of fire fox you are running. I'm able to tab through the Help -> About window and have it speak the version. You can also go to Help -> Health report. The version is displayed in there. It's probably a good idea to enable Firefox automatic updating if you ahven't. That's not a piece of software that is good to let fall too behind with everything lurking on the web these days.
