ROTFLOL!

You really *had* me laughing out loud on this one. But be fair, he
didn't know that Syafril is the list admin and the test related to a
list improvement. Users' test messages are indeed discouraged on this
list.

Nevertheless, I think this thread has become dangerous to the horse

What's all that junk with test messages posted lately? Can't people send

Sorry, I am too lazy to create new $listname which have actually same

handles TBUDL.

Hard to do without sending messages to the TBUDL.

There is no need to get annoyed.

Syafril is the list administrator and kindly hosts the TB lists for
free on his company's servers. He also invests a lot of time improving
the functionality or efficiency of the lists, and trouble-shooting
even from his home on the weekends. In such cases we, the list
members, take his time away from his wife and kids.

For all this, I have no problem receiving a test message or two from
Syafril.

E You just ended up on a trash filter.

Have you read the TBUDL welcome message? Do you not realize that
Syafril owns the server this list runs on. He's trying to fix the
error caused by the server stripping the Content-Transfer-Encoding:
base64 headers and has to test the fixes (or lack so far) on the list.

I suggest you change your trash filter to filter test subjects but
*not* Syafril. You may miss important service announcements.

Not so important for anyone who not using upper 127 character set.

For now, I just made a bit fixed, i.e. for whom using upper 127
character set either on Real Name (such Marcus Ohlström) or on body
text, I suggest not using MIME base64, instead use Quote Printable
(QP) or No MIME (in TB! setting, set it without change).

That all for now.

BTW. I can make the Content Transfer Encoding keep intact, but that
make the list footer disappear. Maybe later, after rfc-2047 being
revised :-)

I had to go to my archived OE mail to find the welcome letter (never
been successful in importing 3 gig of OE6 into TB) and did find
this at the very end of the Welcome Letter sent to me in December
of last year. I indeed apologize for suggesting he has been
delegated to the trash folder.

First of all the subject tells it ALL - like you want.

Second, if you don't know who the originator is, why do you hit on

some time to learn what is good manners on the specified group.

Even so, I still think any test message to the list is bad manners.

Completely wrong. Actually there are some measure to insure only
legitimate messages are sent - we call them MODERATORS.
