[Bug 1453029] Re: Tried to login, GUI locked up. Did reboot was presented with several messages : general protection fault: 0000 [#31] SMP
Reading the instructions again: the latest upstream kernel available from the very top line at the top of the page So does that mean I should be looking to get http://kernel.ubuntu.com /~kernel-ppa/mainline/drm-intel-next/current/ which seems to be a 4.1 Kernel instead of the 3.16 that is currently on my machine. Hey, now I get a different page off of your original link. https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Kernel/MainlineBuilds?action=showredirect=KernelMainlineBuilds now shows a link to http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel- ppa/mainline/?C=N;O=D and at the top of that page is http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v4.1-rc5-unstable/ I shall follow the instructions for downloading and installing then get back to you with the results. Seems to take a week or two for the problem to surface so it might take a while for me to declare a Kernel good. [Bug 1419545]
Created attachment 6281 a first, incomplete patch Currently I dont have much time to do the coding ( new baby + we move to a new house ) So here what I did so far. (patch for Thunar-1.6.3 attached). It already works nicely .. however there is a list of things which are TODO in order to ensure that it works in all cases, with the best performance, etc. What currently works: - For each folder of a tab, a deep-count-job is started to count the total size of the folder. Updates are displayed, until the total size is calculated. - The jobs are cancelled when the directory, displayed by the tab is changed. - If two tabs show the same folder, recursive size calculations are only done once - The feature can be enabled /disabled in the preferences What still needs to be done: - Not realy good to run one job per folder, if this spawns a thread for each job ... could get a real problem for folders with many sub-folders - save folder-sizes in tree-model for all sub-folders if possible (So that calculation is done only once when browsing a tree ) - Possible to use thunar-folder instead of thunar-file in order to save calculated size , etc ? - move impl to separate file, if it makes sense - bug: Update list-model if box in preferences is un-checked - possibilitie to run all jobs in the same thread ? - Usage of G_Likely / G_UNLikely - mutex protection for critical variables - Possibility to refresh / re-calculate ? ( react on reload STR+R .. maybe even automatically, if the size of an sub-folder/file is changed ) - Ensure that there are no memory-leaks ! - Usage of g_object_ref, etc ? Does that make sense ? - alphabetic order for methods ? - update documentation - create patch for trunk version of thunar (git ?) Thanks alot to Woj, bug 10338 helped me alot to get started ! ( .. Probably my patch will conflict with the patch for bug 10338, since often it touches the same lines ) I will try to continue work on the patch, when I have free time however if it takes too long for you, feel free to take over! -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1419545 Title: Make thunar display recursive file size To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/thunar/+bug/1419545/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1446177] Re: Nodeinfo returns wrong NUMA topology / bad virtualization performance
Some of the comments I made serve more to help my own memory jumping on and off the issue. ;) Basically the nodeinfo looks like libvirt ran into thinking that there is no node subtree in sysfs. Then it sets the number of nodes to 1 and directly scans the cpu subtree. I quickly did scan the upstream git tree of libvirt and did not find something obvious. I may have missed things or maybe it is the kernel that changed for the better. What I got in mind would be to make a special version of libvirt that has a lot logging around the area of obtaining the nodeinfo. If this can be tried on a non-production server, I think this will be less painful for all. If its ok for everyone to wait that long. I would go and prepare the test package(s) (Trusty/14.04 version) and post a link to them here. The debugging would be on error level, so the log level of libvirtd can be kept to errors (avoiding to fill up the log with other stuff). -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1446177 Title: Nodeinfo returns wrong NUMA topology / bad virtualization performance To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libvirt/+bug/1446177/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

This included object downloads, which would in turn cause etag or content-length mismatch errors. (See bug 1338464) This was apparently added in response to a third-party proxy sitting between the client and server which, having observed that the client would accept gzip-encoded content while the server sent an unencoded response, would perform the compression. (See bug 1282861) Now, we'll no longer let requests send any default headers, nor do any decoding. When it happens, i know that the OS is running because when i push the unlock button(first time), i can make a screen shot pushing up volume and down volume at same time it also reproduce the sound. Had the same problem on 15.04. I manually add the route but in 15.04 NM seems to be changed and no longer works. What I did instead is to add the manual route normally but changed the gateway (routes - gateway) to 0.0.0.0 , that worked for me. I hope it can help you too. Additionally, you can try change the route to something like: sudo ip r a 10.0.0.0/8 dev ppp0 - this also worked for me. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1297849 Title: [SRU] Virtual private network connection fails after distribution upgrade due to outdated Network Manager configuration files To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/hundredpapercuts/+bug/1297849/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1445906] Re: 5.6.24 security update
Thanks for the diff in comment #2, but that's not a valid approach for updating the package in trusty. Someone needs to actually update the package in trusty using the mysql 5.6.24 tarball from the vivid package. ** Changed in: mysql-5.6 (Ubuntu Trusty) Status: Fix Committed = Confirmed ** Changed in: mysql-5.6 (Ubuntu Utopic) Status: New = Confirmed -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to mysql-5.6 in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1445906 Title: 5.6.24 security update To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mysql-5.6/+bug/1445906/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
