[Bug 1636912] Re: systemd-networkd runs too late for cloud-init.service (net)
For the record: the "hang" was the ~ 10s timeout for IPv6 RA. I was testing with Yakkety/Zesty's QEMU whose "user" net has a builtin RA (you get an fec0::* address), while xenial's doesn't. We enable RA (on the client side) by default, and IMHO should really do so -- selling a new solution in 2016 which does not speak IPv6 would be hilarious. You can't also significantly reduce the timeout, as this would make RA unreliable and it's presumably also a specification somewhere. So AFAICS the remaining issue is just to make networkd run before dbus.service/socket in systemd, and add "After=networking.service systemd-networkd-wait-online.service" and drop "Wants=networking.service" in cloud-init.service. ** Changed in: systemd (Ubuntu) Milestone: None => ubuntu-16.11 ** Changed in: systemd (Ubuntu) Status: Triaged => In Progress ** Changed in: systemd (Ubuntu Xenial) Status: Triaged => In Progress ** Changed in: systemd (Ubuntu Xenial) Assignee: (unassigned) => Martin Pitt (pitti) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1636912 Title: systemd-networkd runs too late for cloud-init.service (net) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/systemd/+bug/1636912/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1637801] Re: Incorrect Russian translation of "apt list --upgradeable" results
> The correct approach is to have gettext look into the langpack translations first, and then fall back to the package's translations. No, it's not. Normal/released Ubuntu packages get their translations stripped out of the debs. But if you install a backport, third-party package, or self-built package, you want to see the translation that it ships, not the Ubuntu translations as they now apply to an older version only. Hence /usr/share/locale/ must have precedence over /usr/share /locale-langpack/. There are just a handful of packages which you need for upgrading and *installing* langpacks which have their translations built-in, like apt or language-selector. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1637801 Title: Incorrect Russian translation of "apt list --upgradeable" results To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu-translations/+bug/1637801/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1639121] [NEW] Alt-tabbing from any wine game will freeze the game in Unity
Public bug reported: When playing any recent Wine game while not using a Virtual Desktop in Wine, using alt-tab to switch to another application will completely freeze the game's graphics. This has recently been noticed with Darksiders 2 and Paladins. There are a few games that won't crash when switching but those are a minority. Thanks Mardy! Passing icon data over DBus would be sub-optimal, yes. For clicks, I don't think we'd have a problem with the app resolving the icon name. [Bug 1626935] Re: [yakkety] desktop is black and/or flickering after plugging in a second monitor
I also saw artefacts this morning all along the bottom 10% of the desktop background on the laptop monitor (the launcher was rendered without issues). I'm not sure what triggered it, but I had resumed the laptop and plugged in a new monitor earlier in the morning. Killing nautilus and restarting it fixed the problem. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1626935 Title: [yakkety] desktop is black and/or flickering after plugging in a second monitor To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/1626935/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1560550] Re: SuperTux does not show up in the Software app
SuperTux still isn't showing in Ubuntu 16.04's Software app. The last time I handled a similar bug ( bug 1591115 ), the app showed up after enabling -proposed. (It did not work when testing in a PPA by the way.)
