[Bug 1659922] Re: Firefox 51.0.1 does not display pages/shows blank pages.
Google translate translates comment 19 to "Thomas Mayer (thomas303), after adding the owner /dev/shm/org.chromium.* rw in the patch and Apparmor profile for Firefox Firefox earned. Thank you. But this is a crutch, an update on the issue as there was no and no. Employees of Canonical - Students who do not test software security." @anikitushkin There's no reason to believe that the package maintainers lowered security by NOT applying necessary changes to the new requirements of FF 49+. It's rather the other way round: Not widening the apparmor profile to the new requirements of FF is pretty conservative in terms of security. It's just that apparmor blocking requirements of FF renders it broken now - be it because of that conservative approach or because of not testing at all. I agree, that should and could have been tested in the first place, namely before releasing new major versions of FF. Of course, the FF package needs to be updated to fix this issue for average users. I'm not the maintainer of the FF package, which basically means that I don't have permission to do that myself. I guess that you can speed up Canonical's integration of the patch into the official package by testing it and reporting back if it works. The reason for that is that package maintainers hopefully become more confident that the patch really fixes exactly this issue as long as multiple users report exactly that, independently of each other. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1659922 Title: Firefox 51.0.1 does not display pages/shows blank pages. [Bug 1654116] Re: Attempts to write leadership settings when not the leader during relation-changed hooks
The actual promise from Juju is that from the time you call 'is-leader' and get a True value, that you will have 30s before we would possibly return True to any other unit. Internally the mechanism is that we obtain a lease (valid for 1 minute) and attempt to renew that lease every 30s (so the very latest time you could call is-leader is with 31s left, if we failed to renew the leadership token). Is it possible that there is a gap from when you call "is-leader" until you actually do "leader-set" that is longer than 30s? I'm wondering if you're running into load issues causing us to fail to renew the leadership during normal operation. We do persist who has leadership in the database, which means it should be stable across the API server restarting, etc. I haven't heard of a case where 'is-leader' can return true but leader-set would then immediately fail, but I can imagine that load could play a factor. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1654116 Title: Attempts to write leadership settings when not the leader during relation-changed hooks To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/autopilot-log-analyser/+bug/1654116/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

--- Comment From amo...@au1.ibm.com 2017-01-29 22:25 EDT--- I think both e4aa8a9 ("PowerPC64 ELFv1 undefined weak functions") and 7f27ccfc ("PR 20472, PowerPC64 ifunc confusion") should be left off 2.26 based binutils. While the undefined weak fix is desirable, it broke ifunc and the followup fix for ifunc dynamic relocation accounting confusion requires other infrastructure changes that are not on 2.26. The backports necessary are large enough that I think it would be better to simply require 2.27 if we really want undefined weak to be fixed. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1655181 Title: P9 support in binutils To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/binutils/+bug/1655181/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1458322] Re: NetworkManager doesn't hide virtual interfaces (e.g. Docker, VMWare)
I tried it out on 1.2.2, since that's the version I have to work with. I also had to patch applet-device-ethernet.c , otherwise it still listed the header for each interface. Pushed my version up to https://github.com/ohthehugemanatee/network-manager-applet for convenience. I only applied this hiding behavior to ethernet interfaces, because this ticket is specific to virtual ethernet interfaces from docker, vagrant, etc. I'm sure there are people who would like to hide other unmanaged interfaces, too. TBH I would prefer a flag for "show-unmanaged", but that discussion probably belongs in a separate ticket. Patch attached. Sorry if the format isn't right, this is my first contribution here. ** Patch added: "Hide unmanaged ethernet interfaces" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/network-manager/+bug/1458322/+attachment/4810606/+files/0001-applet-hide-unmanaged-ethernet-interfaces.patch -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1458322 Title: NetworkManager doesn't hide virtual interfaces (e.g. Docker, VMWare) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/hundredpapercuts/+bug/1458322/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

I'm seeing this for the first time with my update yesterday, 28 Jan 2017 23:00 PST, pushed out with standard Ubuntu updates for Ubuntu 12.04.5 LTS. I can see the default entrance page, the preferences page, and about:config. But I cannot see any html pages. However, html does appear to render in the frame title bar, and rolling the mouse seems to show urls behind links in the normal way at the lower left corner of the frame. [Bug 1660206] [NEW] Make casper capable of fetching filesystem.squashfs through http
Public bug reported: Playing with PXE boot the Ubuntu Live CD works when using NFS. Downside with NFS is that it isnt firewall friendly (out of the box) and after the boot completes the client still requires access to the NFS share. A great fix would be if casper becomes capable of fetching filesystem.squashfs through http during boot. This way no NFS is needed and once booted the squashfs is then located in the system RAM so no more network activity is needed (when starting applications in the live CD environment). The following page have provided a patch for this but it would be great if this patch can be part of the official behaviour of casper: https://www.turnkeylinux.org/forum/support/20090127/pxe- boot#comment-25776 Related info: https://forum.kde.org/viewtopic.php?f=309=136596 The patch above is also included with this report. ** Affects: casper (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Patch added: "casper-http-simple.patch" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1660206/+attachment/4810585/+files/casper-http-simple.patch -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1660206 Title: Make casper capable of fetching filesystem.squashfs through http To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/casper/+bug/1660206/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1652270] Re: Could not boot into RPi3 with kernel 4.4.0-1038-raspi2
The problem is fixed for me. I did some tests with a fresh installation on a rpi3 with the image from https://wiki.ubuntu.com/ARM/RaspberryPi. The image did not boot after a simple apt-get update && apt-get upgrade. The kernel was not updated, still version 1009 from the image. The uboot error was: ## Executing script at 0200 libfdt fdt_check_header(): FDT_ERR_BADMAGIC No FDT memory address configured. Please configure the FDT address via "fdt addr " command. Aborting! reading vmlinuz 6594336 bytes read in 952 ms (6.6 MiB/s) reading initrd.img 9744755 bytes read in 1402 ms (6.6 MiB/s) Kernel image @ 0x100 [ 0x00 - 0x649f20 ] ERROR: Did not find a cmdline Flattened Device Tree Could not find a valid device tree SCRIPT FAILED: continuing... To fix the uboot error, you have to change the config.txt lines: # set extended DT area #device_tree_address=0x100 #device_tree_end=0x8000 device_tree_address=0x02008000 I changed the device_tree_address and commented out the device_tree_end. The address is the same that was changed in the file /usr/share/flash- kernel/bootscript/bootscr.rpi3 from flash-kernel package from ppa ::ubuntu-raspi2/ppa-rpi3 With this changes made to config.txt I did the apt-get dist-upgrade to get the latest kernel (version 1040) and rebooted. The rpi3 started without any problems, running kernel 1040! maybe Ryan can add some script magic to the flash-kernel package to change the config.txt during the update? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1652270 Title: Could not boot into RPi3 with kernel 4.4.0-1038-raspi2 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-raspi2/+bug/1652270/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1647199] Re: ELAN touchpad acts as generic mouse after firmware update
@jkusa, not yet. However, I did a bit of work today in an attempt to contrast a working with a broken version (eg: old vs new keyboard/trackpad firmware), however it doesn't appear to be possible to downgrade the firmware due to lack of an image. After a bit of digging, I was able to find an example of a dmesg output of a working trackpad (with trackpad features) vs not (see attached). The USB productId does indeed change from 6084 to 60A2 after the firmware upgrade. The key difference appears to be the following line: --- [ 1002.906583] hid-generic 0003:17EF:60A2.0008: input,hiddev0,hidraw1: USB HID v1.10 Device [Lenovo ideapad MIIX 700 USB keyboard] on usb-:00:14.0-7/input1 --- Where it appears the input which is normally detected as a "v1.10 Mouse" is instead detected as a "v1.10 Device". I hope that helps someone work it out. ** Attachment added: "Pre vs Post firmware upgrade" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-hwe-edge/+bug/1647199/+attachment/4810563/+files/6084_vs_60A2.txt -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1647199 Title: ELAN touchpad acts as generic mouse after firmware update To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/linux/+bug/1647199/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

I have the same problem. Should I uninstall all mysql stuff? There are some many dependencies between different mysql packages, I do not even know with which one to start. And the upgrade process will always give errors, even when I will have new upgrades in the near future. Sorry that this doesn’t work for you André. Can you please describe in details what you’re observing?
