[Bug 2063077] Re: Keyboard does not work after waking up from suspend with 5.15.0-105 (but works with 5.15.0-101)
Hi, I can confirm that linux 5.15.0.106.106 (package version 5.15.0-106.116) from -proposed works, without the issue. Thanks! FF PS: To clarify: the previous versions I had were 5.15.0-101.111 and -105.115, not -102.112. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2063077 Title: Keyboard does not work after waking up from suspend with 5.15.0-105 (but works with 5.15.0-101) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/2063077/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 2063077] [NEW] Keyboard does not work after waking up from suspend with 5.15.0-105 (but works with 5.15.0-101)
Public bug reported: Dear Ubuntu maintainers, I think I found a regression in linux 5.15.0-105. In the past few days, my keyboard stopped working after waking up from suspend (sleep), so I couldn't unlock my laptop. Various workarounds found on the internet helped, but I wanted to investigate if it was a gdm issue, grub, or a hardware failure. I managed to narrow it down to the kernel, which is why I'm filing this bug report. AFAICT the only keys that work are the keyboard lights and the brightness knobs (in the Fn functions). I can confirm that 5.15.0-105 has the issue, and I can consistently reproduce it with the following steps: 1. boot fresh with 5.15.0-105 2. login to my account 3. choose suspend from the power menu 4. wake up Following the same steps above with the last kernel available does not cause the issue (package version 5.15.0-101.111). I'll keep using that one for the time being. [Bug 914479] [NEW] dh-make-perl cache is broken in oneiric
Public bug reported: When trying to use d-m-p in Oneiric I get the following error: philsf@philsf-workstation:~/doutorado/projetos/trepid/trunk/TRepid-0.9.1$ dh-make-perl -p trepid Using META.yml Found: TRepid 0.9.1 (trepid arch=all) Using cached Contents from Wed Jan 4 16:12:11 2012 Can't use an undefined value as a HASH reference at /usr/share/perl5/Debian/WNPP/Query.pm line 75. This bug was recently fixed in debian, and the specific patch is available in (also attached): http://anonscm.debian.org/gitweb/?p=pkg-perl/packages/dh-make-perl.git;a=commit;h=dff932cc4fc852542dd1821449b3e659c46f1a0a Additionally, if (or when) ubuntu syncs with debian for version 0.74 it will also break because of a change in apt-file from debian that was reverted in ubuntu, which makes dependencies not locatable. Here's a transcript of a short summary of the issue regarding apt-file as discussed in #debian-perl in OFTC: maybe nhandler (both active in ubuntu and in our group) can help here. nhandler: short summary: dh-make-perl 0.74 will have a problem in ubuntu because it was adjusted to apt-file 2.5.0 in debian, and ubuntu has reverted this apt-file change (location/name of Contents files) nhandler: if this difference in apt-file persists, dh-make-perl needs to revert the relevant commits in ubuntu too Or it needs to look in both locations. [Bug 646733] Re: clicking on rhythmbox from soundmenu in unity does not show rhythmbox
I'm not sure if this is the same bug I experience, but I'll try to describe it here in detail. If I minimize rhythmbox window, clicking the entry in the sound menu indicator brings the window to focus as expected. However if I close the window while a song is playing, clicking the menu entry gives the following: - the window is reopened minimized, without focus - the launcher button space appears empty - the launcher button does not work at all (does not give focus, or display the window in perspective if it has focus) If I close the window again, another glitch: - The window closes, but leaves a ghost window. Although the Alt-Tab switcher does not find the window, the window itself is otherwise functional (it's not a screenshot, rhythmbox actually works). - If I minimize or close it using the (X-[]) buttons, it finally vanishes. Do you think this is the same bug? -- clicking on rhythmbox from soundmenu in unity does not show rhythmbox https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/646733 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 650588] Re: Clicking on some application buttons in the launcher does not raise any window
@David, yes, from the apps I use this happens with Tomboy. To reproduce, follow: 1- open tomboy application, the search window opens and displays your notes. leave it open. 2- open any other application (say a terminal) and give focus to the term window. 3- click the tomboy launcher button. nothing happens, but the search window doesn't come up. 4- Switch to tomboy with Alt-Tab and click the tomboy launcher button again 5- Note that the window is displayed as a miniature. if there are notes open, all windows are displayed in the wall, as expected That this is a regression since Maverick beta. -- Clicking on some application buttons in the launcher does not raise any window https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/650588 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 656925] [NEW] visual glitch when changing focus from workspaces view
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: unity Steps to reproduce: 1- open a window in any application (e.g. terminal) 2- click the workspaces button and see the ws wall 3- while in the wall view, click the application button to give window focus in that application 4- click again to see all the windows of that application in the wall You should only see the windows of the application in the preview. Instead the real windows appear in their actual positions, along with the previews. If only one window is open, you would see two windows. I can't take a screenshot of this in the preview, which might be another bug. It's easier to observe if the window is not maximized, but it also happens if it is. [Bug 656441] [NEW] workspaces number defaults to 4
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: unity Late in Maverick cycle the default number of workspaces in Unity changed from 1 to 4. I prefer only 1 so I can use the workspaces button in the launcher and stil see the miniatures of the windows, but there's no way to change it in the UI (as per Bug #639633). However even if I change the number of spaces in gconf-editor, or gconftool, the number of spaces changes back to 4 after a reboot or logout/login cycle. I also tried the following command from the console after logging out: gconftool -s /apps/metacity/general/num_workspaces 1 --type int The same happens. I can reproduce it everytime. Re: [Bug 564780] Re: [lucid beta] pidgin freezes everytime
Thanks Kurt, I'll try. I sync the ~/.purple directory for several boxes. All boxes are running Lucid with the latest updates from -security and -update repos, and the pidgin PPA. This Desktop is the only one in which the problem occurs. I use some plugins. Here they are in alphabetical order: Autoaccept, History, Libnotify Popups, MusicTracker, Psychic Mode and Voice/Video Settings. I'll try to check if renaming prefs.xml makes a difference when I get home. [Bug 564780] Re: [lucid beta] pidgin freezes everytime
This still happens in my desktop, since the beta phase, but only in this box. I have to use IM only in my netbook because of this, and since it works, in the netbook, I'm confident this will work on a Maverick. I'd like however to find out how to make it work in my desktop, since it has always worked there so this is why I posted a bug report. ** Changed in: pidgin (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete => New -- [lucid beta] pidgin freezes everytime https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/564780 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Re: [Bug 33288] Re: Evince doesn't handle columns properly
Nigel, has the patch been committed to the Ubuntu package? I believe at this point, no major merges will be done, and this will have to be approved by release teams, so "fix committed" wouldn't apply.
