[Bug 1861344] Re: uvcvideo: IPEVO Ziggi-HD document camera stops working on kernel 4.4.0-171
Kernel bisection led to following output: 692763f31fc2b9d12350fb7f4daacb2f35664d3e is the first bad commit commit 692763f31fc2b9d12350fb7f4daacb2f35664d3e Author: Alan Stern Date: Mon Oct 28 10:52:35 2019 -0400 USB: Skip endpoints with 0 maxpacket length -- The output of lsusb in comment #7 shows that an endpoint with address 0x82 shows up twice. First with 'wMaxPacketSize 0x 1x 0 bytes', second 'wMaxPacketSize 0x13fc 3x 1020 bytes'. Probably that endpoint is dropped when encountering wMaxPacketSize = 0 and no streaming interface is created. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1861344 Title: uvcvideo: IPEVO Ziggi-HD document camera stops working on kernel 4.4.0-171 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1861344/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1861344] Re: uvcvideo: IPEVO Ziggi-HD document camera stops working on kernel 4.4.0-171
I have the same issue with a USB microscope ID (eb1a:2771) eMPIA Technology, Inc. It used to work some weeks ago. The camera/microscope is no longer working on kernel 4.4.0-173. Uvcvideo fails with the kernel message 'uvcvideo: No streaming interface found for terminal 2' and no `/dev/videoX` device is created. [Bug 1763744] [NEW] Start BIT when plugging ext HDD, udev rule
Public bug reported: To set up BIT for backing up to a Luks encrypted external HDD when the drive is plugged, I had to modify the udev rule. I had to replace ACTION=="add" to ACTION=="change" in order to get BIT to start backup automatically once the disk is plugged. udev fires a 'change' event once the disk is decrypted and ready for writing, not 'add'. BIT 1.1.24~xenial on Ubuntu 16.04.4 LTS ** Affects: backintime (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1763744 Title: Start BIT when plugging ext HDD, udev rule To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/backintime/+bug/1763744/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
