I don't see any sense in a vine going from the US,
to Europe, then back to the US, then to the UK. Makes no sense at
all

I don't see the problem with doing a ping pong
thing. But another but:if Chris has already sent it to me then I'll
pass it to my Brit friends omitting US,then Chris or Jim is supposed to
send the new set to Mr.Skull as a US starter. If Chris has not sent it yet
to me, he can send it to his US friends, but then will Jim or Chris sent
another set to me?In case if Euroland is going to wait till US will be all
done first, what if the list grows with more US wanters? It all depends if
Jim or Chris are going to clone another euro-vine.Or there's not a topic
and let's do it as it

Re: [Zappa-List] 1970-11-14? early and late LIST

2005-06-29 Thread SOFA

Well...
I'm not one to complicate things and, tho I can see some of the
efficiencies mentioned in this thread regarding vines crossing the pond, I think
having two branches for every vine will end up complicating the system. My
opinion is that a single vine is easier to track, and easier to search. I guess
I'd rather see single vines where an occasional shuffling of names occurs (with
the agreement of the participants, of course).
As this vine is already enroute to Europe, it does make a bit of sense to
have it make the rounds a bit there. The vinage as posted lately is:

Chris US << Bart << mr. skull << Richard-UK <<
Milhouse-US << white rabbitt-US << Nick Ullmann-UK << Scott
Burnett - US << Joseph-US [EMAIL PROTECTED] << Guy-US  [EMAIL PROTECTED] <<

With the vine on it's way to Bart, and if all are amenable, it could be
amended to:

Bart << mr. skull << Richard-UK << Nick Ullmann-UK
<< Milhouse-US << white rabbitt-US << Scott Burnett - US
<< Joseph-US [EMAIL PROTECTED] << Guy-US  [EMAIL PROTECTED] <<

This is merely a suggestion; it's really something the vine participants
need to decide for themselves...
My 2 cents,
SOFA

I've not signed up for this vine and it's only my opinion but it would make
far more sense for the discs to go round the US first and then over to
Europe or vice versa...or indeed one set for the States and one for
Europe.

The date is debatable. Joni Mitchell is said to have
been there on the 13th, so this is most likely the 14... and neither
recording is very long, but great quality - or so I
understand.

  Howdy,First thing - isn't it 13 Nov 1970
show? (not 14th ???)Second thing - I'm looking for this as well as I
have already late show from 13th but it's only +20 mins long...but
also I think I'm having the early show of that day...So yes, I'm
looking forward to this forthcoming vine - thanks Sofa and
