Nice little introduction for tonight party :

- Dj Deep.
( For a special techno set, though i hope he will bring it old-school, since
lately he's been repressing some classics on his label :

No one mentioned it is on Kompakt.
For me Aril only tried to prove one thing :
If you wanna be more famous, signed on a hype label, just produce borderline
music, and it will works perfectly.
I think Aril was totally aware of that, and he simply did it.
I guess thats why he has this ironic talking.
Another long waiting EP, does anybody had the chance to listen to some
excerpts of this upcoming DeepChord's release ?

Ooh yeah!
Thanks Martin for this link.
I've always wanted to watch this documentary again!
I do remember when i first saw it ten years ago on Arte.
That's from this doc that i learnt more about Detroit Techno.
Like, how artists spirits are imbued with the city atmosphere and thus
deeply root inside

Yes i do agree about the last Larry Heard / Mr White on Alleviated. The
track "The Sun Can't Compare" is sooo hypnotic.
This langourous voice, 303 line, and old school Chicago "rhythm" still
incredibly works on me... -clap-clap-clap-
A good track for this thread :

Hmm sad news for such a dilightful day.
A "living legend" have passed away...
His influence is so tremendous for the techno music, well for "music" quite
simply !
He will never be forgotten.
Of course, i couldn't help thinking to this "L.A. Style" fluffy ravy track :

She played @ Technorama #2 in March 2005, with Stephen Brown :

Her set was pretty nice (so is she).

I remember this one :
http://www.d-i-r-t-y.com/medias/mix_gigi_galaxy.ram
Recorded something like 4 years ago.
As you thought, it is maybe a little bit "hard and loopy".
There must have some other mixes floating around the net which are closer to
his Teknotika productions.

Im pretty sure it appears on the Ghetto Houz' series on Funk Records :
http://www.discogs.com/label/Funk+Records
Most tracks are big medleys, so many samples were used.
It think it was sampled on severals DanceMania records before, its like the
Laid Back "White Horse" little notes that float around

I am likely to show up. If you meet a chesnut brown boy with glasses and a
funny 313 related tee, it would bound to be me :)
No interesting parties to come the next days...

Exactly, it always makes me laugh when they talk about "Podcasting".
Its the perfect example of a "buzz word".
Nobody knows what it is, but its hype... so, Podcast blah, Podcast there,
Podcast everywhere.
While its just an automatic way to get the so old fashion stored MP3,
without going on the web
