The truth is ali, I refused to let you run the lxle project and this is
the main reason for your beef. If you can't have influence or control
over something you want no part of it.
Those who look for positions of power are the very ones that should
never have it.
Your post validates that not
lulu banned you not me, she is now running the page. i believe she is
part of your team isn't she?
i showed you the screenshot of they system showing 12.04.3 and you
disregarded it. I told you I went by what my system said, not what some
website site, that wasn't good enough and you went crazy,
ya gave it a spin a week or so ago and its definitely testing. It broke
a few things and I figured, ya thats the testing, do anything ppa.
Thanks,

an excerpt from ali's page supporting lxle
LXLE is an extension to Lubuntu. It is NOT an entirely different
system. Having different wallpapers, default applications and theme
doesn't mean different new system.
You knew from day one huh? And I'm the liar?

how are you going have brainstorming ideas without talking about future
projects or versions of Lubuntu? Isn't the idea of brainstorming about
having new ideas and being creative for future releases?
if you can't talk about future stuff then brainstorming doesn't make
much progress

Is the Lubuntu Staging PPA dead?
I liked the idea of a PPA that wasn't daily but was solid tested

There also seems to be a lubuntu testing ppa, while the updates work,
they aren't 100%, some things like logging out through the panel and
such stops working.
So I guess I was wondering if there is an area
dedicated to well tested updates...
be nice if staging was used again, it was a cool
perhaps a progression of testing ppa wouldn't be so bad, sorta like the
'steps' of debian, where users could test and or use different stages
of testing packages and a packages progression could be measured by the
sheer number of submitted / known bugs. The fewer reports for a certain
period of

I've found the use of GdiskDump, DD or Pendrive Linux gives far more
consistent successful results when creating a usb installer.

very nice, i think window/menu shadows are unnecessary, if you just run
plain compton... with no shadows or anything it runs much leaner and
doesn't affect the rest of the system while still providing
transparency for things like plank...
probably the best way to go, although without compton
OK, cool, now we know what they are doing and what can be done better
and what ideas can be shared.
As for the code, it may not be available, which would be an exclusive
Zorin OS feature, if so then thats not very open.
Perhaps this script for Lubuntu shall be totally open in contrast.
In my testing so far, Plank is sitting between 15 - 20 megs of ram
while in use, not sure how your getting 650 k.

Perhaps it would make more sense to concentrate on a mac variant.
My reasons:
Lubuntu's paradigm is already virtually an xp clone.
Outside of different icons and theme color, there isn't much difference.
If wanting to totally mimic an XP desktop because those users are picky

shouldn't we stay away from cario dock and come up with a docking

you will be offering choice if you offer a mac variant , you won't be
offering choice if you offer lubuntu default and windows xp which is
lubuntu default with different icons and theme colors.

This is a serious question because its something I don't understand. Was
just wondering if anyone could explain why GTK3 is a train wreck, so I
understand why QT is the better and only choice from here on out.

the wiki page does not answer those questions..
question one
why would Lubuntu brainstorming be anymore successful than Ubuntu
brainstorming site?
question two
why are we bothering with start ubuntu when this has been zorins angle
since they started their distro, which is also based on Ubuntu.
Perhaps, docky and compton?

After a few are open, chromium-browser will often blank out a few and
