I tried a different account it failed the first time, then within 5 minutes I
got a call from
security, they asked if it was legitimate, and cleared it, so I went and tried
again and it went

To answer my own question, yes it does only work with the matchbox keyboard.
Have you noticed that the sound and tapping feedback stops when you do this or
use the
matchbox-keyboard? or is it just me?

power and aux buttons.
Anyon know what it was, and a fix other than re flashing?

There are Qt bindings for Ruby but I think they are Qt/X11 not Qtopia.
