[cross-project-issues-dev] Status and outlook for RC3

2012-06-01 Thread David M Williams
As we begin RC3, week, I wanted to report the good news that Virgo got their problem figured out so everyone is currently in, and I've updated "staging" (which would be sort of an RC2 Plus). And the reports at http://build.eclipse.org/juno/simrel/reporeports/ are looking much better than the l

Greetings folks. IP Logs are now overdue for some projects. Review documentation is due on June 6. I've been adding reviews to the schedule as I receive documentation; soon is better than later. Note that if you miss the June 6 date, your release review will be delayed. I have not yet heard from

Same place, if I understand the question ... same b3aggrcon file. Things in Juno aggregation should be for only 4.2 (if, it does not work for both). If you have 3.8 users that need your 3.8 specific site, you will have to have some directions on your website that explains what they should add t

Depending on the time of day, Eclipse bandwidth has been completely saturated recently, which can make for some very slow downloads. In our lab we have measured downloads as slow as 10KB/s and often in the range of 15-20KBs [1]. The worst time of day seems to be mornings EDT. The 4MB in the tw

I've read reports (and I've seen it myself) that this can take a long time. On the other hand, I agree that 5-10 minutes is a very long time for users to wait. Were you able to see any progress notification apart from 'pending'? Such as 'downloading this or that content.jar'? Regards, Markus On

It just sits there in "Pending." state. Been a few minutes like that. I checked and there is nothing wrong with my network connection
