I've used the patch provided and rebuilt the deb on 4.15 and can confirm this
fixed the udp error message. Using PAP auth w/ ipsec works again, however

xsol fails to cross build from source, because it uses the make default
$(CC). Please include /usr/share/dpkg/buildtools.mk to set up a proper

Upgrading to 4:17.12.3-1 doesn't solve the problem but the crash vanishes after
switching from nouveau to Nvidia proprietary drivers.
