Did anybody try this configuration?

Hi,
I would like to setup the printcap entry of my hp550 printer
such that ghostscript is called automatically to convert the
PostScript input to the printer language.
It does not have to be smart, I only need the printer for
.ps files.
Does anybody now how to set this up?
Thanks,

Hi,
we have Debian installed on a PC with 256MB.
However it seems, that Debian uses only 64MB
(according to top and free).
Is there a limit at 64MB? Do we need to set a special
kernel option?
Thanks for any information,

I do have similar problems serving SGI machines.
It might depend on the way a file system is mounted
e.g. hard vs. soft, but I'am not sure, still testing ...

Can this analysis be correct?
Is there a size limitation for primary but not for logical

Before I move all the home accounts of our research group to

Let me try to summarize the recent discussion about
Debian support of the Adaptec AHA 2940U/W SCSI controller.
There are three different opinions:
1. no problems at all
2. cable/hardware problems
3. problems with kernels above ~1.3.88
Can somebody sort this out?
Thanks,
We would like to run Debian Linux on a PC with
all its disks connected to a

controller.
Does anyone have experience with this controller?
Do we have to expect any problems with the driver?

Hi,
I have a problem with the Debian web site: http://www.debian.org/
The "Name", "Description", and "Maintainer" fields of some of the packages are
empty, trying to download such a package results in an "Unknown URL" error.
However this problem is not quiet reproduceable. Last week the problem
