must be changed in gnome (or xfree). Can anybody tell how to do this?

Hi!
I' ve installed gimp1.2 and gimp1.2-nonfree with gif support. Now I'm
a little bit confused because it is not possible to save any file as a
gif-file. I can open a gif-file and save it as gif but there's no other
way. Is this correct? Gif-plugin is installed.
Thanks...Thomas

files in the woody tree.
I tried to find these packages in the internet und installing

Look at the startmessages for soundmodule. You can type "lsmod" at the
commandline to proof the loaded modules. A list should appeare with sound
or soundcore. When not type "insmod sound" at the commandline and the look
what happens. I hope will get a correct message.
Good luck..Tommi
