1. Easily reproducible (In my case it was a simple MP3 file which was playing
perfectly in 9.04 (I have just upgraded to 9.10))

As a work-around try:
sudo /etc/init.d/udev restart
Restarting the mixer applet does not fix the high CPU for me. It
appears to be a bug in the way removing the USB sound is handled lower

I tested Richard's powerpc package on my iMac G4 and Ubuntu 8.04.1 (up-
to-date). It solves the problem! Thank you, Richard! I hope they accept
it as SRU.

In Karmic Alpha 5 (LiveCD), gedit does not follow the HIG for it's entry
in the "Applications" menu. It simply says "gedit", but gives to
description of what type of application it is. It should be changed to
something like "Text Editor" or "gedit

I'm using Karmic, and I have a lot of events set up in my calendar. When I
added the calendars, it proceeded to generate alarms for a bunch of past events
as well as the ones in the near future. It's about 37 right
I upgraded to f-spot version 0.6.1.1 and this still happens.
