Maybe in general bug is solved, but I have run into two errors again:
* Can't record anything with arecord -Dhw:0, plug:hw:0 works. Recording with
former (hw:0) gives such error:

I have disable brightness dim, yet still after recent updates, the
laptop screen brightness is dimmed on startup on AC power. I have to
manually turn up the brightness every time I start the laptop. This

notification. This means that under a inverse theme we get a inverse
notification (as expected).
The problem is that it changes the color of the current notitifcations
in the human theme to a stronger yellow than what we
hal describes the omnibook as having 8 brightness levels, though it
sounds like there should be 10 or 11.

In my case, my primary screensaver is None (blank screen). How hard
would it be to check for at least this case?
also, re: touching user settings in a postinst of a package is a big
nono. While my settings may not have been touched in actuality, they
were effectively touched because I upgraded

The recently added panel icons need a few symlinks to be picked up by
the panel, namely:
16x16, 22x22, 24x24
eyes.png - gnome-eyes.png
force-exit.png - panel-force-quit.png
modem.png - gnome-modem.png
sticky-notes.png -
Also, as this background color is visible during greeter startup and
during session startup, this should be the gdm background color.
Note that a consistent colors between usplash and gdm is done with the
minimalistic theme from Frank Schoep.
Filed this bug against control-center too.
Seb (or Daniel or who looks at this): The problem is in gnome-keyboard-
properties when you click the add layout, it's very unobvious that
just selecting Canada (or France or any other item with an expander
arrow) is a legal choice.

This bug may equally be an issue with the Nvidia GLX drivers or Xorg.
When my laptop is configured with the following excerpt from xorg.conf,
the gnome-screensaver unlock dialog does not appear. I haven't tested if
the dialog box
