I agree, in spite of the fact that the French did everything in their
power to hinder the invasion and anything else the British and the US
came up with. Interesting that they haven't changed a bit.

It is apparently the "instant gratification" thing that many Americans

have been fortunate and haven't had to endure any significant hardships
for several generations so that may be the reason.

or Christmas? I've noticed over the years that this occurs
frequently. It really doesn't matter as I am listening on the air and

How about the Belgian Congo?? Sounds better than Zaire but that

Well, if you visit the Northern Bahamas, my repeater, the only one in
the country, IS working. It is on 145.210 and you will meet at least
four resident hams as well as any visitors who might be around. It is
at 160' on a government communications tower. Covers most, if not all,
of Great Abaco I
