Gain comes from REMOVING Energy from some directions and focusing it in other directions. Horizontal Arrays such as the Sterba Curtain can develop good gains but focus the energy in NARROW Lobes. This is not a problem for ROTARY antennas, but severly limits coverage for a FIXED Antenna. Tom
