I confess that after building control and receiver circuits [carefully]

transmitter alignment. I put the rig on the air and made contact immediately.

I keep getting an error message. I did load the extra Window file,
but it still doesn’t work. I really like this little Palm 105 I
bought off eBay. I’ve installed about four loggers in it to date and
only have trouble with the K2 Logger Conduit. More to come.

Jim,
I'm sold! What could be more convincing than?
To stave off Alzheimer's and If you have three kids, you can leave a
radio to each - giving the K2 to your favorite.
Also, Saves you from the bar scene for another few weeks. For a moment
there, I thought we knew each other.

I may not have been completely clear in my for sale message so to make sure
I did not mislead anyone, What's for sale is NOT a k2 but the TOP COVER AND
KAT2 AUTO-TUNER AND KIO2 CONTROL INTERFACE.
THANKS,

Many thanks for all of the advice. When building, I avoid too much heat and
too much force. Just needed a little more pressure and it seated just fine.
Worked first station last night. Now to build the tuner and go
backpackingand fix the intermittent LED.
Maybe it's just me, but I'd fix the intermittant LED in the shop, not out on
the trail.

The Smoky Mountain National Park is tough. Its worth the pain though.
Getting to Gatlinburg from Springer in 26 days is good time.
As they say .. if you don't walk in the rain, you won't get to Maine.
Many thru hikers on the trail this season.
Good luck to all the folks aspiring to walk
From my experience: begin with a K1. You'll be
thrilled to have such a great rig, and to have had to
joy and success of building it.
Then, go for the KX1...because it also has those SWL
bands, because it's so ultra-portable - because it's
just so darn cool!
Finally...find some way to

Gang,
The '2 pin computer jumper blocks' used to program the microphone on the
SSB board are probably familiar to us all, however, how does one find them?
What is the proper nomenclature and which mfg. makes them? After trying to
locate them [I would prefer the ones with the shorting wire

Remember Maine and to hell with the pain. Did Teddy Roosevelt say that?

Hello,
Has anyone tried EL foil behind the LCD display on the
K1? The display I have does allow some light through,
so perhaps using a piece of this foil will work.
Could the power inverter generate RF interference?
If you've tried it, let me know how it went.
Here's a source for the foil
Hi
I have not tried it but there are some glow in the dark plastic sheets that
once charged up with a flashlight will glow brightly for several hours. This
is not the stuff you played with as a kid. This sheeting will put out some
serious light for quite a while with only a few seconds charge
G'day,
PC mother boards are stuffed with them, I got mine from a junked PC.
Didn't need the option the solder to them.

You probably recall mounting a big black neoprene spacer between the display
and the board (pg 21, Figure 5-7). That's got to come out first so that
means removing the LCD. Hint: this is a project I'd put off for a little
while.

built.
Hello all,
I finally got the conduit working with my Palm 105 and the K2 Logger
Program! Now all I have to do is build the I/O and try it out.
I think controlling my K2 with my Palm 105 will be so cool! No bulky
computer to worry about, just my little sweet Palm. I've become attached
