Hi Lorrie,
I've looked around and on ebay too, but I can't seem to find many bulk deals
for
cat collars.
The most I've seen was for 6 and they weren't break aways.
Where do you usually get them from? If you don't mind...

I too want to understand.
what has become of the Siamese for whom a rescue was being urgently asked?
It has been another over the top day - - a whimpering puppy left too long in a
hot car (2 windows down 3") at Wal-Mart. store made announcement over PA. no
one came. called 911. we prayed
I'm glad my vet only uses Pfizer. I had no idea that there were different
manufacturers and had adverse effects on them. I researched the vaccine just
for the heck of it and I had found 3 different brands to my surprise!

In fact, the same problem exists with the FIP - if used on cats, they will
test as if they had it!
The reason you don't hear much about it because it's not that great and vets
do not push it.

I wonder if extreme stress, bad diet, etc. can cause false positives.
In the first year (1992)that I trapped cats for our rescue group, an adult
cat tested positive for FeLV. Three months later, she was negative!

Today
This with the Fort Dodge vaccines and vets don't even like to mention them;
cats that are vaccinated, will always show to be FIV+! That's really bad for
cats that had the vaccine, become lost, abandoned - most will kill them because
of FIV status. My vet hates these vaccines.

It's my understanding this doesn't happen with the new vaccines.
