RE: Return Alarm

Return to Normal messages cannot sound a horn. Return to Normal messages are shown on the Current Alarm Display by changes in the text of the Alarm message. I suspect from your question that you want a message whenever a contact changes state. If this is indeed the case, you can do that by using

2001-08-30 Thread Brian Bates
Rory, The input resistors in FBM01 and FBM04 modules is only 50 ohms, and the hand-held configurators that we have (Rosemount HART and Foxboro FoxComm) require at least 250 ohms of loop resistance for the modulated signal to work properly. We routinely add a 200 ohm resistor in SERIES with the tr

2001-08-30 Thread Corey R Clingo
We have had this problem as well. As Chad said, it exists because the dropping resistor on Foxboro FBMs is 50 ohms, which does not give enough loop resistance for the HART handheld to read the superimposed digital signal. I do not believe Foxboro offers a 250-ohm dropping resistor option (I aske

Hi Tim, Another way of "adjusting" a trend is by right-clicking on the date/time of a paused trend. A dialog box should pop up that may give you the functionality you need without the hassle of the large do-everything dialog. Of course if you have a lot of trends that don't include the

We have and continue to experience this. We are having to go as high as 500 Ohms because of the low resistance in the FBMs. Our instrument guys connect the HART communicator across the resistor which is hooked in series not parallel. We found some terminal strips (from Phoenix Contact I believe

Our instrument guys are having trouble communicating with a HART 275 communicator to a Rosemont 3051 level transmitter while connected to the Foxboro I/A FBM1 input point. The instrument is being loop powered by the FBM1 (P and P+). The only way we can get it to communicate is to put a 250 ohm r

We just got done upgrading all of our WP's to FoxView 99.2.1. For some reason, the on-line trend configuration tool was changed in this version to add 2 more steps to the process of calling up a historical trend. In version 99.2, you right-clicked the trend, clicked on the "week", "day", or "hou
