I have been trying for many months to synchronize my Palm Pilot IIIe

Every time I select 'Palm Settings...' from the Evolution 'Tools' menu,
I receive the following error message:

I am using 5.1-RELEASE, Evolution 1.4.5, and Gnome 2.4.1
Whenever I select either the 'PalmOS' Desktop Preference applet in
Gnome, or the 'Pilot Settings...' option in Evolution, I receive the
following crash:
"Application 'gpilotd' (process 5874) has crashed due to a fatal error.

I am purchasing a APC Smart-UPS 420VA (with serial interface) for use

question about the correct /dev to specify in apcupsd.conf. My machine
has one, standard serial port.

Chris,
May I ask what version of apcupsd you are running? When I switched from
linux to FreeBSD, I also upgraded apcupsd from 3.8.0 to 3.10.6
Also note that we are using different versions of FreeBSD (4.8 -vs-
5.1).
Thanks,
Barry

With the above setup apcupsd detects a power failure, but not a return
of power, and thus does not send a notification email.
Also, apcupsd does not halt the system. I noticed in the docs that for

Are there any users of apcupsd on the list? If so, please respond to me
privately. I have a question about recommended UPS's that work well
with FreeBSD.

I am running 5.1-RELEASE-p11 and am receiving the following error when

Joe,
I found a work-around for this problem. At the Ghostscript driver
screen, if I just accept the default drivers, and not add VGA drivers,
that error does not occur.
Gnome2 is still compiling, and hopefully will complete this time.
Thanks for your reply,

No, I neglected to say that when I tried to do the mount, I received the
same error I got when I attempted to load the linprocfs kernel module. I
am assuming the mount command fails because that kernel module has to be

I am installing OpenOffice 1.1.0 on a system on which I just did a fresh
install of FreeBSD-4.9-RELEASE-i386.
I am at the point where JDK is being installed, which requires that
LINPROCFS be mounted, because it needs Linux emulation, which I
installed from the ports and have enabled in rc.conf.

One last point. I realize for my setup that I will also need to put ssh
