Symbolic link

I have this application that only works with local filedirectories. Is it possible to make a symbolic link to a URL (internet location with the files I want to display/open) so that I can fake location as being local? Jos ___ freebsd-questions@freebs

Cronjob

I would like to execute a script on every last day of the month in my crontab. Can someone tell me how I should solve that as it doesn't know which month day is the last day of the month? Solving this in the script to be executed is no option. Thanks, Jos __

Can someone tell me why I have to recompile all related programs when I upgrade to a newer version of Perl? How easy it would be that all these 'to be recompiled' programs only were linked to just Perl instead of Perl.x.x.x. Or is that a complete wrong way of approach? Jos
