I was not able to install new kernel, because after installing ubuntu
from flash drive to hard disk it was not able to boot. The problem was
how I created flash drive. I made it like a CD, using dd command. When I
created it with usb-creator-gtk touchpad is working. So, this bug is
only if booting

It probably affects any 32-bit EFI system.

I have just tried running the 3.14.0-031400 kernel, but it wouldn't boot
(kernel panic).

In my case only the standard user is affected. The administrator still
has the sound.
I found out that the administrator has:
