processors need a non-pae kernel.
We found a Pentium M 1.70 GHz which does not work with forcepae. It

I did some further testing. Running Ubuntu LTS 14.04 as a domU doesn't
seem to create the problem. The specific VM which is causing the error
messages is running Linux 3.2.40. So I guess the bug could be in the

Actually, that was mis-typed. It is only one and the computer is a Dell
Inspiron 1525.
I will not get to testing with 12.04 today. I did make a couple of
config edits and no longer get that message in the log.
I edited /etc/initramfs-tools/modules I added these parameters after the i915
module

I'm using a Lenovo R61i (type 7650D6G), with Ubuntu 14.04 and up-to-date BIOS.
The fan speed is well controlled on low temperatures, i.e. around/below 50°C,
staying between 0 and 3000RPM. The problem is that under a higher load my cores
can reach higher temperatures, like
NOTE: this only happens on AC power, for the simple reason that, when on
battery power, the cores don't even reach those temperatures even under
a very high load (nice feature!).

Using Kubuntu 14.04 LTS here, upgraded from 13.10.
Whenever I use the standard Kernel linux-image-3.13.0-27-generic thats
from 14.04 I cannot get my WIFI to go faster than ~25mbit/sec download
and about 10mbit/sec upload.
