In addition to dragging the message to create a link, you have Edit >
Copy as Link (option+shift+command+C).
You can also enable the bundle for the Task Manager of your choice.
You're then a keyboard shortcut (see the Command-menu) away from getting
the email & link into your task manager.

My use case is adding an email link directly to my task manager app so I
can easily reference the information in a paricular email when
performing a task.

That's neat. It gives a numbered drop down menu, so for example
Alt+C 1
