the bleeder and no air gets in through the bleeder threads. MityVac
always sucked air in through the bleeder threads when I tried to use it.

I used the Issac Newton method on the pre-ABS cars - just open the
bleeder and let it run until clean fluid comes out. Plenty of time to
walk around and keep the reservoir full.
You don't risk tearing up the MC seals this way, one person can do it,
there is no negative pressure to auck air in at

The 79 240D project car is nearing road worthiness again (and not a moment
too soon the 87 300TD has had numerous pending jobs postponed) thanks in
no small part to the members of this list. After the caliper rebuild and
the rear hub helicoil jobs, the only thing still on the list is a
obvious that there is still air in the system. Are there any tricks to
bleeding a W123 system? Seems like a straightforward job, but my

to date are less than acceptable.
Wash, rinse, repeat! You do the rear first, either side first, then the
RF, then the LF. I had trouble on the

Makes it an easy one man job and you don't take the chance of ruining the
seals in the master cylinder. Justbe sure the caps over the fluid lever
sensors, if you have them, and the grommets between the tank and the MC
