When I first got the 87 300D, I changed fluid and filter.and drove it.
It leaked ATF pretty bad until the oil change. After I got the leaks
pretty well stopped it it seemed fine. THen I parked it for a couple
days.Came back and the puddle was almost from the rear wheels to the
front
That sounds fine to me. I'm curious to hear other ideas.
Maybe Mobil 1 ATF will restore whatever seal keeps the torque converter from
draining?

below the pan lip seal, so no leaking, but if the torque converter drains down
into the pan, level goes over what the pan can contain and it
I did the ATF change a few days ago. Took it for a drive, checked level, got
under and looked for leaks. The thing was buttoned up tight. Dry as it has
never been, and clean.
Today, I go out to try to take the SDL for an errand and it will not fire off.
There is a wet shadow all under the
