I am trying to build mod_perl with apache, but cant get through iunitial
make.
I got apache 1.3.14 src and mod_perl
untared them, and run
perl Makefile.PL APACHE_SRC=../apache/src DO_HTTPD=1 USE_APACI=1
EVERYTHING=1
i get this:

It probably should be:
eval "*{\$fullname} = sub ($p) {}";
The latter works on my Linux and Solaris tests.
